Skyrim!

Well I bought a lot of games this year but they were older titles for the mos part I think. But it's hard to imagine a game I could enjoy more than Skyrim.

Nope, Germany's a little... peculiar. I could import it of course, but IDK... I've got L4D and that's fine enough for my zombie needs.

Catherine will be released in February, I hear. Apparently no Publisher had picked it up for Europe before...

I'd definitely recommend Bastion. If you're doubtful, maybe wait for another Steam Sale. I'd also always recommend the edition with the soundtrack, since it is rather excellent.

As far as AC... I'd say you're well off waiting a bit before getting Revelations, so it's not feeling like you've been playing it for forever x_x;

Ohh I didn't know you were from Germany. Well, Dead Island is pretty good. I'd say it's biggest selling point is the multiplayer. It is fun, big, lots of side quests, and it's a nice looking game. The story is average though. But if you like running around, doing sidequests and killing zombies, then it's pretty fun.

Ohh really? @_@ Catherine is a really great, unique game. The fact that it's core game play is puzzly, might turn off some people, but it's a great game.

T__T I don't play on PC. My boyfriend does, and he has steam. I'd have to get it on the XBOX, and they've had it on sale. I'm sure they will again. They usually have the same games on sale, especially popular ones.

Nah, i'm fine.xD To be honest, until December I had only played the first AC game once and that was back in 2009. So, in December*last month*, I actually started and beat AC1, AC2, and then started Brotherhood and just finished it the other week. Sooo, I have been playing AC for the last few weeks.

I'm still super pumped for Revelations. I have plenty of time though.

I just started Deus Ex, Human Revelations the other day, and I want to go back and do some stuff in Dead Island and AC.

I want to give Dead Island a try, it did get some nice reviews. I'm just wary of anything with zombies because I'm afraid they're all just trying to knock off resident evil.

@lady heather-Nah. Most games don't really do zombies like Resident Evil did. Dead Island is a first person melee combat game, with some shooting/and RPG/open world elements. I played it by myself, but it'd probably be even funner with friends online. It's pretty good, the story is average though.

Yepp, sad sad Germany that somehow approves Gears of War 3 but not other such things x'D
I was initially drawn in by Dead Island by their awesome trailer, but I thought the gameplay looked... disappointing compared to that. Still, I'm sure it's probably fun o3o though I hear a lot about it being really hard, since zombies get stronger with you?

Well, most gamers I know are totally set on getting Catherine~

Aaah, I see >; Over christmas Bastion was also on sale on Google Chrome o.o; I didn't even know Chrome supported games like that, but yea...

Ah, I see. xD How did you like all the games so far? I have to say, despite public opinion, I actually still like AC1... it's very different in mood and such, I think, but still... I liked how they transported development without a ton of long cutscenes x'D But I do love AC in general,... just feel they're very much oversaturating. I think I'd have prefered longer waits and cut Brotherhood and Revelations, or combined into AC2 and 3 or so... just with yearly release, it feels like too much.

I've heard a lot of good about Deus Ex, but am not really that eager to try it.

That's weird. o_o Gears 3 but not Dead Island.
It is fun and I haven't found it that hard at all. The zombies do level up with you but you find weapons everywhere and as you do side quests and what not, you get mods for the weapons. You can go to a workbench, repair, upgrade, and mod your weapons. You need money to do so too but if you do side quests, it's not a problem.

You get weapon mods that add electricity or fire and things like that to your weapons. You also have fury mode that you can active to take out a bunch of enemies at once. Plus, as you level up, you unlock skills on your skill tree. Sort of like how Borderlands does upgrades.

The only time I had a hard time in Dead Island is with some of the harder enemies. Basic zombies are fine, it's the special ones that can be tough.

I love all the AC games and felt that, so far, they've gotten better as the series goes on. Gameplay/mechanic wise, I felt Brotherhood is the best in that area*Hoping Revelations is even better*, but I did really like the overall mood in AC1. I also really like the scenes when he assassinates one of his targets and he starts questioning things.

I do agree, yearly releases is too much, for any game.=/ But I really want Revelations and i'm sure AC3 will be out this year. But after AC3 they're not done. I read they're planning to introduce a new character after Desmond's story is over. o-o;

I'm pretty close to finishing it, but Deus Ex is realllly good.=o

Portal 2, Portal 2, Portal 2 and.....you guessed it! Portal 2....but no really...I liked Fear 3 ,Fable 3 and Skyrim too XD

Portal 2 would be because....well let's face it...the game is built on amazing and smart humor. The puzzles made me feel intelligent when I would go past them. The story was epic and the characters were memorable! I mean....Wheatley.... I never knew a game character could be so amusing XD I would sit there doing nothing, just to hear him say something...anything at all!

Fear 3. I can't say I've ever played a similar game to this one but the mechanics were amazing. Yes, it is one of those FPS horror games but I've never had so much fun shooting at people XD

Fable 3. I'm not sure if it was released in 2011 but I think it was. o.O Too lazy to check on Wikipedia OTL. Anyways, I enjoyed that one for the whole "King/Queen" aspect of it. I played as the evil ruler and cried at the end of the game, just because I wanted more of it! I can't wait for the 4th part to come out!

Skyrim...Okay we all know the drill with this game. Epic RPG, lots of quests and last but not least DRAGONS! It's a HUUUUUGE game and I myself have not finished playing it. Yeah, it does have some funny bugs and stuff but if you are looking for a good RPG to play this is the game for you. Adventure, magic, dungeons....you've got it all in the world of Skyrim.

XDDDD You may ask whether I'm advertising these games or not XD But that's my own opinion. There are other games I enjoyed during 2011, but I think these are enough for now. After all....you wouldn't want to watch a brick wall, stretch the entire page, would you? ;)

Portal 2, Skyrim and Magika are the only games I've played from the year. they're all epic though.

Come rave with the Kandi Kittie PLURR!!!!

Of all the games that came out last year, Skyrim is without a doubt, my game of 2011. I've sunk so many hours into that game, but I think it was all well worth it. I mean, who can go wrong with dragons? xD

Bastion, Portal 2, GHOST TRICK (feck yeah) and Binding of Isaac for me...

BoI is a pretty odd choice compared to the others, but it's definitely got a lot of replay value for it's low low price. C:
I've probably played it the most of all of em~

I haven't actually played Skyrim. *shot*

I haven't played Bastion, Portal 2 or Ghost Trick yet. Out of those 3 I want to play Ghost Trick the most. I've been wanting to ever since before it was released. I just haven't gotten to getting it yet.
