We all knew it would happen, we all understand why, but is anyone else going 'omg 25 hearts for one spell?

It's a lot. Understandable, sure. Still seems crazy though.

Will people still buy as many spells? What happens when it's like, 500 55 hearts per spell? Will DI's go up now, too?

I would prefer like 20 hearts per spell. Because in teh end 5 hearts really does add up in the end, i dont think i would be buying spells when it goes to 25 or more. In fact i dont think i'll be buying from this site again.
I can understand how much of a hassle it is, but liek Vixen said in that thread why not make it every few months and keep it at its original price.
I would definitely keep buying then.

Well if they do increase it to more than 25 hearts, I surely cant afford it, and it was a nice time on this site, but i think i'll go back to permanently being on Gaia.

I tried stating this in the last thread in the Feedback but a price change won't do much, in my honest opinion. It may help out cover costs, somehow but, if people would had just listened more into the other options they had this wouldn't had happen. Increase in spells hurts a lot to all kinds of people in this site, it will inflate prices from spells to the hearts. Remember the madness happen when hearts first started to inflate just to 200g per each?
It will increase to over 25 hearts sooner or later, the spells will increase 15 hearts per year. We always get surprises with new colours as well.
Spells will sooner or later be gone (due to being not an unlimited amount of colours) but, that doesn't mean the recolouring will be here no longer, since we will still get new items in the future without new colours.
But, I won't say anything else more onto this subject.

ofc hun you dont understand how much things will inflate, it'll just be another gaia, i came here because of Emy and prezok wanting this site to NOT be like gaia and shit. There were actually nice people here, but now im re-considering that part. Im really bummed about this whole thing, i dont get a lot of money and its hard enough now as it is, i'd love to contribute to this site, but if things are going to get expensive then well theres nothing more i can do here, i do understand the pain it is to recolour and shit. But i guess thats life isnt it?

The work increases exponentially with each spell, DI and Coin released. And when the work involved increases, the cost increases. Not raising the cost is basically saying that the work and time it costs Emy and everyone who works on spells means and is worth nothing. We all know this isn't true.
I collect 5 of each spell, and at 55 hearts, the final spell will cost me $27.50 for all five. Will I do it? Yeah, but not going to be happy about it, and will probably buy a lot of hearts from the exchange to compensate for the cost.
Maybe I shouldn't be doing this much braining until I've had another glass of wine...or two.

Yes. I totally agree. 20 hearts is absolutely fine with me. Then the economy wouldn't get effed up. I wonder if Emy will reconsider? I want people to buy spells so she can make money and keep this site going.

I don't like the change, Can understand, but still don't like it. I'm going to have to reduce to one spell of the colors I want. But once it starts going over 50+ hearts for one spell, I will stop getting spells. That is just too much for one spell. I would rather pay 20 hearts per spell than 50 or more later down the road. I guess I can just hope now that the last two colors I want are while the spells are under 50 hearts.

I agree that some change needs to be done about spells to keep them profitable for Ernya, but I don't think that this is the best way, especially if they get to more than 25 hearts per spell.
There are some good alternative ideas in the announcement thread so far, so I hope Emy seriously considers some of those and comes up with a more popular solution in the end.

I've already expressed my opinion in the announcement thread SO i won't get all wordy in here.
Ernya herself stated, here, she'd rather just get rid of the spells entirely.
I personally would rather pay more out of pocket, and yes, via posting more, than lose the spells.
Although neither option are very desirable for the userbase I'd accept whatever choice ernya decides on.

One thing that i don't get is that once we get all the spell colors Emy still needs to do recolors later on as more items are released, so how is she going to afford it in the long run once the spells are out of the shop and she has nothing to fund it. I do love the spells but they seem like such a hassle, i would be happy with doubling the price to $2 but even that's a stretch. The problem is that i hate the price increase yet i still understand the reasoning behind it. Personally i am only going to donate for myself now since i can't afford to sell hearts anymore in the exchange. I think most people won't be able to sell hearts so we are going to have major inflation, i just hope Emy reconsiders and at least lowers the price a bit to a permanent $2. Making it $2 will reduce inflation and it will keep the majority of us happy, i just can't image paying 40 hearts in the future for a spell, that's a complete di set for god sake T_T
