Not to butt in, even though that's precisely what I am doing, a good chunk of people seem to be thinking along those same lines. So I wouldn't single her out, per se.

...
I definitely would not buy spells anymore..
Considering that amount is more than DI's, it's not worth it.
Not to mention, I hate all the recent colors that are coming out,
so I guess I'll just stay out of it. :|

I probably won't be online much lately due to school.
It seems like 40+ hearts is a lot per spell...I mean from my perspective, of course. I understand the work involved is absurd and that it's necessary, however it's caused me to rethink my normal attitude toward the feature.

I personally collect 20 spells per month, and I realize that's a lot. For now, between selling old items, posting, and donating once maybe every 3-4 months when I can scrape together a few pennies I'm managing this. Next month...Probably not, if I'm going to be honest with myself. That's 500 hearts per month, or between 125-150k pure. Every month. Not to mention the rest of my collecting, which requires two DI sets, each nametag, a bundle to keep, 3 coins, 2 of each coin item, and any other limited item that happens to come out. When they get up to 40 hearts per spell I'd be looking at somewhere around 300-350k per month just to maintain my current collections even if hearts remained at current prices. Completely and totally unfeasible.

So from now on I'm going to cut down the spells I collect per month, probably to something like 10-15 depending on how drastic I want to be. Not really a big change in the grand scheme of things, but something I'm going to have to start thinking about very seriously. I'm just glad the spells aren't going away forever.

I think I'd be okay with spells only every 2 months with how expensive they soon will become, it would give everyone more time to work on something else or take a breather now and then.

@Muse: I have a job, and I am not particularly "young". The majority of Ernya is 18+, I'm not sure if you've noticed this, and a great many have some form of income. Claiming that most of Ernyans are young and unemployed seems erroneous or over-generalized.

I won't pay 25 hearts for a spell. .___."
I buy spells because I like to collect them.
And occasionally, I do use them in avatars.
And although 10 hearts can change so many items into different colors, I'm used to
their current price and will not be buying more just so I can meet my collection goals.

OvO Singling someone out in this sort of thread for what you make out to be a personal thing is inappropriate, Alexia. Take it to PMs or speak of people that are single-mindedly interested in their worth in general, not Muse in particular.

You're only allowed to single out, bully, and accuse users in the feedback forum silly, this is the ECD.

I am sick of people being looked down on by the site's do-gooders because I have an opinion against this change in spell price. People need to realize that we pay out of pocket for these items. If the people who are continually buying the items leave or stop buying them, then there will be less out to be bought for gold, which means the prices will inflate. Basic laws of supply and demand. But no, we're evil because we don't wanna fork out some extra cash for something that has been this price since it came out.

To me, something about changing the price after having it be what it is and having known how the item base was going to grow exponentially is wrong. It should have been thought out more at the beginning and set at that time, to me. A price increase is going to come as a blow to lots of people.

Site donators or not- the spell prices are going to raise not just on the fact that they're worth more hearts- but also because there is guaranteed to be less in circulation. Newer spells are going to be worth more than the black spell within a couple days/weeks of their exiting the donation shop.

I would rather the spells be discontinued than see them re-released in Chloe's shop on a rotating basis. Despite the value in hearts being more- it still devalues the item having it re-released. I have been on sites where they re-released items or even simply recolored popular items and released them and I have always been against it. It is not fair for the members who were there to purchase the item and who had the patience to keep it either for themselves or for the value to increase.

To me, one of the main draws on av sites is working the economy. That's one of the things that keeps me here and active. When outside sources screw with the economy it makes it less and less fun, in turn making me less interested. But I guess that's just me. I'm the devil with my own ideas.
