View topic - Winter Event Part 1 & 2
My overall feelings for the Winter event.
-On a Side Note-
At first i was sad to hear we wouldn't be getting a Christmas Event, but the MI's that were Christmas themed was fun, simple, and very nice items (though they only came in one color)
Winter Event Part 1
At first i really didn't mind the gold sink, it was very reasonable. The event seemed bland at first since you really didn't have to do anything aside from post. The items were all nice and the story seemed very well thought out and it was ENJOYABLE! I do wish we still got the ball :P
Winter Event Part 2
This wrapped up the not so exciting beginning, after all the hard work it was very much so worth it. FIVE GOLD STARS here. It was very creative, the story line and all, i very much enjoyed it. I do wish there was more time between attacks, and that it wasn't so long. It took a lot of time being on ernya (which most of us do anyway i'm sure) but for others that had other important things to do had to struggle. (But what fun is things that are easy as 1 2 3?) I am very happy to see the NPC's to have a part of something either then saying a story or holding a shop open. The Pot give away was very helpful to many users that took advantage to it i'm sure.
Event Items All Together
There was LOADS, and everyone loves lots of event items. Looking back at the older events like the Halloween 09 (or any really big event set), i wondered if we would ever get a set big like those. I am very happy to say i'm glad we got a very big handful of items for this event for all the hard work and fun we had. I can't wait for another event like this one with less battling so often and i'm sure many others would too.
Prizes
I am very glad to hear that the top 50 get any EI they wanted, i think it's great and wonderful! This is why i love Ernya, always thinking about the users and not just making money. Kudos to Ernya for all her hard work, i'm sure running all this and giving away pots oh so very often was a lot of work but very much so worth it.
OVERALL
i give this event 4 1/2 GOLD STARS for creativity, activity needed, and story line. This is one of my favorite events that i've been apart of.

Part two there are a few things I would have changed but it was my favorite part of the event. I would have had the boxes for attacking from the start. I think the boxes were added last min to motivate the un-motivated. I would have had the point prizes from the start, but I am happy they changed it. My second favorite was Pirate 11 i loved the story line a lot.

My only issue was the small amount time limit between the battles and whatnot but overall, really enjoyed this event :3 <3 Loved that we got so many items from this event! I love big event sets :D

My only problem was, the second part of the event seemed a bit short. At teh start i felt like there wasnt really anything that made me want to get to teh top 50 because i'd waste ours just clicking clicking and i have a short attention span as well. But when they brought out the boxes that really encouraged me to fight her and want to be in the top 50. I just wished they brought that out when the second event started instead of a few days beore it ended.

I agree that the second half seemed short - especially since the random drops from the queen were implemented half way.
I didn't get a single box drop from her in the end, which soured my opinion on the whole thing, but having only 3 - 4 days to get random drop items was very... meh to me. :/ Maybe I just have bad luck, lol.
But I love the items, and at least the idea was creative and fun.

Well i do think the box drop could have been through the whole event, but i really was getting sick of the clicking half way through, so if we had them from the beginning, who knows i might have gotten triple the boxes and items i didn't care for after i got my share.
I don't think they ever planned on doing the boxes from the start, though. They put them into the battle to encourage people to fight because before the new damage and the boxes, the rate the battle was going, we would had not killed her off by time the event ended. If they added it from the start, people would sooner or later have so many boxes and just stop fighting so it would be basically the same deal.

Yeah, if anything the event fighting shouldn't have been so long, so people wouldn't be so sick of it.
Yeah i can see why she wanted lots of health, she didn't want the event to end way to early...
I hated that I had ten minutes between each battle. It made me feel like there was no time to do anything. But, I loved how this event was different from the others.
Personally, I was tired of the whole post and get everything kind of events, and I'm glad Ernya is finding creative ways to make more events and make them different. I love it :)

I overall enjoyed this event, it had enough things going on to keep you busy and it was long. I love the items that we got from flakes and whatnot they are cool.
As for the top 50 thing I dunno..... I think when ernya upped the attack alot of us gave up including me. I knew i had no chance everytime I would go up a rank a hour later i would be down 5 ranks. I have full time college and stuff to do so it kinda saddened me because I worked so hard to get to top 50.. The suprise boxes was kinda not fair so to say... I never seen a increase in the drop rate when she was almost dead. I never had a chance to get a full set so now I would have to go buy the item I need. So overall I love the event but theres only a few things I dont like. : ) <3
