View topic - Why was an entire thread deleted?
I was chatting in a BS thread earlier, people were talking about how they were bored of Ernya, and now it's been deleted. I have no record of my posts.
Why was the thread deleted? It wasn't breaking rules. How come whole threads can be deleted just like that? =/

Thank you for taking the time to ask.
The thread was deleted due to inappropriate behavior, not because of the topic of the thread. The issue was communicated to the involved users, and as such communication is private the details are not necessarily apparent to the users who were not involved.
Threads can be deleted when the discussion becomes offensive and/or inappropriate: a thread will never be removed without a purpose.
It wasn't the OP's topic that was inappropriate, but the later events in the thread that required the thread to be locked. :)

The moderators are here to make sure that any threads on the forum remain appropriate, and respect the rules. Threads are not deleted or locked without a valid reason, and not all of the users will be updated on why it happened.
If you are not the OP of the thread, you will not be updated on the reason. Please make sure to PM a moderator with any question you may have in the future, and they will be deciding depending on the situation if such information should remain private, or if they can give you more details about the issue.

Thanks Reverie. I wasn't around for whatever happened later on so it was just odd that it disappeared along with all logs of my posts there, but now I understand why. :)

I wasn't kicking up a fuss about the whole thing, I was just confused as to where my posts where. I have no idea about what went on to warrant a deletion and nor do I need/want to know, I simply wanted to know where my posts where as I wasn't aware that moderators actually deleted threads - I thought they were just locked. I don't see why this thread is a problem. I didn't mean any harm by it. >.>
