View topic - What would your novel be about?

I've always wanted to write a series of books that tell different tales that interlock with each other. The first book would be a journal of sorts documenting the narrator's journey through a post-apocalyptic event. The second book would be about a soldier in war that's set in the same world as the first book but in the way distant future. The third book, would be more of a companion history piece that ties book one and book two together and explains how people united under the post-apocalyptic event but then eventually fracture and split up into different sections once they began to settle due to politics, power plays, and simple clash in beliefs which leds to the background arc of the second book...the war for premium territory.
It would be cool because there would be bio-mech, genetic mutation, and reanimation thrown in the mix but alas this would be such an extensive project with all the research going into politics, religion, technology, science, biology, geography, psychology, and the massive amounts of realistic character building to go along with the story.

It would definitely be about betrayal, heartbreak, wasting your life doing the opposite of what you're supposed to. Finding your true purpose in life, finding someone who deserves you. Etc...it seems common I suppose, but having experienced a lot of that I think I could definitely write about it with passion.
Mine would be about the seven heavenly virtues and the seven deadly sins. :P

I have been attempting to start a novel for the past week. It's about one of my OCs, Yukiza, who is a neko girl. I have her in a normal world, born to normal parents, but she is the strangest creature anyone has seen. So she is an outsider in her life.
I'm kind of basing it off an RP I was doing with another person.

I wrote one when I was ten about a dragon. It was truly horrendous reading but at the same time I was ten, lol.
I've done novelesque fan fiction that gets nowhere before.
Last time I made an attempt to write a novel it was originally going to be a horror story with a vampire because I was tired of all the vampire romances out there. Somehow though it evolved into trying to tell a surrealist tale about being raped and molested as a child. That opened up all sorts of Pandora's boxes that shouldn't have been opened and I stopped writing real quick.
I still want to go back to that second one though. It opened up memories better left forgotten and did some damage but at the same time it feels like if I can get through it, I can have some closure and healing to what happened to me as a child.
