dead death is inevitable, it is unavoidable, it is a very usual thing. When you die your family and friends cry, they'll miss you, what do you think happens to you're soul when your not there nourishing it? when it dosen't jave the body it is currently in? dead

i believe that when you die, your soul leaves and goes on. to do what i suspect depends on the individual.
i know of souls that became entities, beings that help the living.
i know of black spots, something that can occur when someone dies. on a street in my town, i think it's at 12.20am, a black spot occurs by a house. and if you get trapped in it (although due to the nature of the death and because the girl was kind, it only happens if you want it), you can see the girl's death. it was very gruesome.
another black spot is at a certain time at night in my brother's friend's mother's old apartment, you will hear someone falling down the stairs, because an old lady fell going down stairs one night and died, and for whatever reason, it became a black spot.
i'm not entirely sure if black spots have to do with souls, but i'm pretty sure they do.
i also know of reincarnation. i have been reincarnated and i know how i died in my past life. i may have other past lives, but i only know of the one. and apparently when i died, because of what i did when i died, i went to a very terrible place. reincarnation is much like probation. i served my time and got out on good behavior, perhaps for a second chance to do things right. i'm not sure.
but that's what i believe.

We could sit around all day arguing about what happens when we die, and a lot of people do. But the truth of the matter is there's no way of truly knowing until it happens. Maybe we go to heaven, maybe we just rot, maybe we become somehting or someone else, maybe the spagehtti monster bathes us with noodles. I think it's that fact that we don't know what happens after death makes humans human. If we KNEW it would kind of defeat the point of living.

I like to think that people live on in someway after death. Then agian, you have to wonder if we just die. Like, when we kill a spider, most people don't think they go to some kind of bug after life. If that's true then shouldn't the same aply to humans? When we end we just end?

I'm not religious at all (as in I haven't commited my self to it any particular religion, not athiest) so I really can't say I have a solid opinion...but...yeah....

I am a can of tuna...
I like to think that we all have some sort of purpose that betters us and that betters others.

Being able to know your mission in life (purpose) can sometimes take more than one life. Also, if one already knows their purpose, it can take more than one life to start working on that purpose to the fullest.

That is just what I think anyways...so yeah, reincarnation and past lives would be part of my belief. No, I do not follow any religion fully. I just strive to be a good person. I do not need to follow one set of beliefs to do that.

I mean, all of those stories and such about past lives and so on...I just do not think all of them are fake and or have logical reasons behind them. Why can't human life have things out of the ordinary that happen?

I had a past life dream towards the end of 2010. It had a bit of an impact on me. I can tell when a dream is not just a regular old re cap of past events or fears and desires...and that dream did not feel like any of that. Anyhow. It gave me a comfort to know that there is an afterlife. Sure, I have no idea what happened after the me of that time died...well, more accurately, where I went.

Anyways, that is what I think and my proof are my experiences. People usually need experiences to believe in such things. Then again, people like to create excuses for such things because they do not want to be seen as crazy and so on...

I think your soul could go into it's own form of a safe haven.
Whatever makes you happy. Unless you've been through a tough life,
bad mistreated spirits will tend to stay in the human world, unresting because
of unsettled business. I really don't know. That's all I could think of. Sometimes I
think we just go -poof-
Sometimes I think we get reincarnated. -shrugs-

I believe that you will either go to heaven, hell, or just be stuck on earth for however long. I would hate to have to roam the earth for however long after my death...

When your physical body dies so does your self-awareness. You did not know "existence" before you were formed in your mother's womb. At death you once again will no longer know "existence". There simply will be nothing.

I don't believe in the existence of a "soul" in terms of being self-aware without a body, like a ghost. You need a mind to be self-aware; to feel despair at having to roam the Earth or feel happiness at being in heaven--because feelings are controlled by certain parts of the brain. The mind is created by the brain and your brain dies with your physical body.

Going to have to add to the group supporting reincarnation. I think reincarnation is gradual in its build-up, with an exponential decrease in improvements from life to life. So we all start our first lives as the most basic of life forms, gaining skills and developing and retaining traits like personality and preferences as we go along...

Win Aristocratic, Cherry Blossom, and more!

Cross my heart and hope to die.
I have a hard time believing there is nothing after life, since I've had my own experiences with spirits and such, and no one can convince me otherwise.

I also believe in reincarnation, especially since sometimes I feel like I have memories that aren't my own, at least not from this life time. >x<

But I'm open minded to all ideas really in this case, so I'm still a bit skeptical about everything. I guess there's no way of knowing for sure until it happens... Just those are the two I feel the strongest about right now. :3

I don't believe in souls or an afterlife. When you die, your brain ceases to function and that's it. As Shaun said, you need a mind to be self-aware, so when your brain goes, so does your mind.

That's why I believe in making the most of the life you have right now.

your soul will still be around you might get reincarnated into a human or something...or become a ghost or something along those lines.

Souls don't exist. You go back to a state of non-existence, just like pre-birth.

I dunno and I don't think I wanna know... I believe that we'll will end up somewhere because life wouldn't really have a meaning otherwise. I think believing in something material would be wrong... if there's something like "heaven" or "gods" I don't think we are able to imagine it now.

I don't believe in souls. So I think nothing happens that when you die you just cease to exist.

I don't know, it's not something I really think about on a daily basis. But I do believe that a soul can be reborn into something else, like another person or animal. Kinda like a past life or something.
