Last book I read was Catcher in the Rye, which I loved. I can't wait it took me so long to read it, I wish I'd had it when I was in high school.
Now I'm just waiting for my mom to give me back my collection of Dylan Thomas short stories so I can dive into that- I love used book stores, you find the best deals.
I was fortunate enough to have a literature class this semester, so I get to read AND do class work at the same time!
Happy days.
Narrow Road through the Back Country, written by Matsuo Basho.
I wasn't in the right frame of mind to start reading this, so at first I was quite confused - I suppose the anthology compilation format of the class is going to make this happen a lot. After I did settle into the reading, though, it was absolutely beautiful. What an unbelievable travel log! I can't express how amazing this piece is.
Still working on World War Z, I'm about halfway through, think I'm gonna have to start reading in the day instead of just before bed if I want to actually make any progress. >_>;
Anyway, I can't see how it's going to work as a movie, but... I'll probably still go see it. I'm a sucker for zombies.
I'm currently reading The Devious Book for Cats By Fluffy and Bonkers. It is a parody. Some of it was funny and some was not. It was an interesting read.
