I actually have gotten quite bored of anime. A good deal of them always seem to have the same aspects...the same with the characters being alike in various ways. Sure, some people like their archetypes but not me really.
I only enjoy like three stereotypical anime character personality types.
I believe "Durarara!!" was the last anime I watched...not on the television though because it was not on t.v. yet when I had watched it online.
I would be willing to start watching anime again if it was "different" and not typical with typical characters.

None, really. I was watching Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, but I gave up after episode 15. XD
I am not currently watching anime. I came to realize that anime isn't inherently better than cartoons, and I like a few cartoons better. So, I'm watching them instead.
I'm currently watching Naruto Shippuden and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). They are the only animes I have the patience for right now.

The last animes I was watching were Fate/Zero and Guilty Crown. Both great animes. I got to the last few episodes and then just stopped watching. Haha!

I go through phases when I feel this way. I think the quality of mainstream anime and manga seems to have gone down, and are all stereotypical. But often I find one no one has heard of and I feel like a changed person at the end of the story. But then again, when I manage to get back into anime, I am a bit too obsessive. Some people grow out of it, some of us never will. If you are looking for something different, just look up a random one and watch it. I've found quit a bit of original, if not just downright weird anime stories. I try to stay away from mainstream for the most part, but not always. But to each their own, I suppose.
