View topic - Tiny spelling niggle

I'm a grammar nazi or whatever, but
You've been defrost isn't correct, it definitely should be:

"You've been defrosted"

If you're able to change it, yay, if not, no biggie!

The Babblesphere noticed it a few days ago and we all thought it was cute and to keep it. :3

I've never been afraid of the wildest fights, not afraid of dying
But now I want off this ride 'cause you're scaring me and I don't like where we're going

Yeah, I don't think it'd be worth the time to change such a small mistake,
especially when it's on a temporary event pop up.

Thank you for the Berry Fairy, Dark!
You're a brat and I'll get you for this :D
Spelling and grammar errors have never particularly bothered me on here, they happen from time to time and have ever since the first announcement. It's something to accept and get used to, no one's perfect.

No need to sound hostile Xerxies, this is the feedback forum afterall, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I personally don't find it cute, I find it irritating and think that the english language is going down the pan enough without the lack of the past tense to be applied where it needs to be.

Having said that, I also agree that it's unnecessary to bother with changing it for a temporary event, it'd just be nice for some more consideration to be shown if an obvious typo or error is made.

I wasn't being hostile at all, so calm the fuck down. I was just informing you that it happens all the time and that I've found it easier to just accept than get pissed off over every single event or announcement. If you don't want to that's your choice, no reason to jump down a person's throat over it.

"although you haven't been frozen, please drink a warming potion."

wait that is just as grammatically incorrect as the one you're trying to correct lol

your reword basically says "although you have NOT been frozen , please drink a warming." which would make no sense because you haven't been frozen xD

A better way of saying it would be "It would seem you've been frozen , please drink a warming potion."

The only typo that ever bothered me was Corea during the Back to School event. X'D
<U < Otherwise, there are other typos as well and I do actually think they're cute.
It makes the site feel like it's staffed by humans and not robots named Fred, imho.

I've always gotten the impression that Mama Ernya and Prezrok were foreign
and and and
if that's really the case I've never asked or was told then these types of typos
and grammatical errors are to be expected and sometimes unavoidable
as the english language is ridiculously hard to learn. p:

<n < Just thought I'd toss in my two cents.

lolno. i put it that way because the original used although, so i thought that was what they were going for. i didnt reword it make circumstantial sense, i reworded it to make grammatical sense. :p i was still confused as to why id have to drink a potion and came up with the theory that maybe i just been in the cold too long and had to drink one to get warm so i wouldnt get -as- annoyed.

I'm not getting into anything because I seriously hate drama, but telling someone to calm the '****' down after saying your not being hostile is ironic.

Back to the matter at hand.

The way they've used although kind of works, because its used as a connective.
It congratulates you on landing a successful hit (but) you've been frozen. I see what you mean though, although is only slightly off the mark.

xD either way, it always confused the hell out of me! but in that case, changing it to "however" would make it very clear o: but then im still confused how i got frozen...evil queen. ;c

"Although" is incorrectly used in the original, because it's not used as a connective. "Although you have been frozen," is a fragment in itself. You cannot start a sentence with "although" like you can with "however." It also becomes a run-on because of the comma before "please drink a potion."

If we're being grammar nazis, we must know our grammar. ;D

Yes my mistake I noticed the next battle that it says "blah blah. Although you've been.." I thought it had said "blah blah, although you've been..".

But now its bugging me haha.

I was going to say something about the capitalisation of Her, but I figured if it's being used as a pronoun it's right.
