Does anyone else think that the movies they do together are the best? =)
Is anyone excited about their new movie, Dark Shadows?

Feel free to discuss any of their movies here, even the ones they didn't do together,
such as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and so on!

True, she rocks. :P I remember I saw her in Merlin many many years ago (around 2000 I think), she wasn't with Burton yet at that time. I thought she was really talented and pretty as Morgan Le Fay. ^^

It's so hard to pick a favorite out of those. ;-; Almost all the ones I've seen are great, the only one I haven't seen are Ed Wood and Sleepy Hollow... and Sleepy Hollow is sitting in my DVR. :U

If I have to pick a favorite.. I'll go with Sweeney Todd. Great movie, great soundtrack. :D

I was disappointed with Alice in Wonderland. :C Didn't love it as much as I thought I would.

I'm really looking forward to Dark Shadows, too. c:

@Lollipop: Sweeney Todd is my #1 favourite, too. ♥ I love it how Burton made all those great actors sing! :D If you loved ST, you're gonna love Sleepy Hollow, they are both bloody enough. xD

Ed Wood is really different from other Burton-Depp stuff, but it's my 2nd favourite. It made me love biography movies! Martin Landau was great as Lugosi Béla who was Hungarian, like me. girl

Why did AiW disappoint you? :c The story is decent and the costumes and animations are awesome in it! love

It's a shame Johnny lip synced in Cry Baby cuz he can sing well. When I first heard him singing in Sweeney Todd I almost fainted! He should become a musician and make lotsa albums XD Or sing duets with Vanessa lol

I love their trio!

I'm pumped to see Burton's Dark Shadows! My parents loved the show as kids, so I can only imagine what Burton's got in store for Johnny Depp and HBC.

I love how they always seem to do the films/roles that no one else wants to do. Ha.

I wonder what's the original Dark Shadows like. It's ironic, I usually hate remakes except for Tim Burton's films lol

I really love them both :D

I'm dying to tell you I love you.
I'm actually not a very big fan of the stuff they do together. It seems to me like everything they do together looks like it's going to be incredibly magical in the previews, but then it just falls short for me when I watch the whole thing.

I always find their whole things incredibly magical. But I'm a fangirl :,D tho I always love to read non-biased opinions. Sometimes I even agree

On a side note, The Rum Diary Hungarian premiere is tomorrow (dec 1). I know you hate watching movies in the cinema but you're gonna come with me *pokes Soul*

The show is actually you're typical soap opera. It's just like, a vampire version though. Much better than I expected it to be, and apparently it was a really popular show back in it's day too. So, I'm assuming most older fans will be really excited to see Burton's remake.

I think most of his remakes have been good so far, what, Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland have been pretty good films. I'm excited to see what he has in store for Dark Shadows.

Now, Rum Diary, I honestly don't think I can stomach. I'll buy it just to support Johnny Depp, but I won't watch it. It feels like it'll be another "Fear and Loathing" type movie. He's already done Blow, and he's already done Fear and Loathing. I think the drug abuser type character is getting a bit old.

@Sel: Fine... Just because I'm sick of waiting for DVD releases. =/

@Rawiyah: Sounds like fun. :)
And yeah, the character is not too original anymore, but I want to see the movie, I might still enjoy it. ^^

Edit: Well, I had lotsa fun watching The Rum Diary yesterday. :) It's the 'sit-down-and-relax' category imo. However, I can understand the mixed opinions, this movie is not for everyone. It's not 'mainstream' like POTC. But Depp made me love all kinds of movies, so yeah. It's not about being biased, it's just being more open to different genres. Anyways, I like it better than Blow but Fear and Loathing is better than both, lol.
