Personally I enjoyed the animated films... and never wanted them to make them into life action movies.

I am a HUGE Lord of the Rings Fan! And even though I loved all the books, The Hobbit was always my favorite! Always said they should have made The Hobbit first before making the rest of the trilogy. And now they're finally making it! This is a big deal for me! ^_^;
But...We have to wait till december of this years?! Really, it's almost like waiting for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim to come out!

It's been in production for quite some time. I was so excited when Peter Jackson finally secured the rights to do the Hobbit. I started following the project on FB right away. Some amazing things are certainly coming- I just CAN'T wait.

I am a huge LOTR fan, I just recently watched all three extended editions with my boyfriend (over a period of three days) and I am still blown away at how well done it all was. It was beautifully shot, there could not have been a better place to film it than New Zealand.
I grew up watching the animated Hobbit, which was genuinely scary for a little kid! The spiders!! Ack!
The book Hobbit was my favorite read from Tolkien. I tried to read LOTR, but he really got too detailed in places, imo. I own The Silmarillion but I haven't gotten around to reading that one yet.

The trailer looks so awesome I can't wait for it to come out! I love the Lord Of The Rings movies and I've been meaning to read the books. A few days after christmas last year I was in New Zealand and I went to Hobbiton with my dad and we got to walk aroung the set of where all the hobbits lived :')
