It's also her first meeting with gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. Title: Addy Love
Author: Mikayla Holden
Publisher: KidPub Press
Publishing Date: 2010
Number of pages: 232
Summary: In this epic western tale, sixteen-year-old Addy Adams becomes the woman of the house after her pregnant mother passes away due to an illness that ravishes her small Kentucky town. She soon finds herself mothering her sister when she sees that she has fallen in love with a young man named Ned. Addy soon discovers that happiness is fleeting as some of the things most precious to her are taken away once more. Addy turns to God all the same and finds that even bad things can turn into tiny miracles that can ultimately change people.
Review: I thought it was a very good book. There was a nice religious side to it, which I admired. it is a little lengthy and dry at times. Even though it's only 232 pages long, the font is rather small. Since KidPub Press is partially self publishing, there are some grammatical errors. It's understandable. But, for a teen author, I thought this book was phenomenal. If you're reading this, Mikayla, great job!

Title: City of Ashes (Book II in the Mortal Instruments Series)
Author: Cassandra Clare
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Publishing Date: 2008
Number of Pages: 453
Summary: Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can sudden;y see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? Clary would love to spend more time with her best friend, Simon. But the Shadowhunters won't let her go--especially her handsome, infuriating newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil--and also her father. When the second of the Mortal Instruments is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor suspects Jace. Could Jace really be willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
Review: 5/5 Loved the book! And I liked that it's about Angels and Demons, but she doesn't make it completely religious. Although, if you are a Christian like myself, some things get touchy, but it's okay.

Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels
Review: 4/5 I thought it was good. Definitely up there, in my ratings. Don't let the title fool you. It's not all about Fallen Angels. She just has to stick with the title pattern. Very thrilling, and very deceiving. I totally recommend it...but then, I don't read books I don't recommend.

Title: Max

Publisher: Little, Brown and Company
Year Published: 2009
Number of Pages: 309

Now the battle for survival rages on.
Suddenly, the flock learns that millions of fish are dying off Hawaii's coast and that someone--or something--is destroying hundreds of ships. When they are confronted with the most frightening ecological catastrophe yet, they have no choice but to go deep into the murky waters. Now, nowhere is safe.
This time, the flock is in too deep.
While Max and her team comb the depths of the ocean, a powerful enemy tracks them, He has his own plans for the flock and will stop at nothing until they're under his control. Can the flock protect themselves from the approaching enemy--and save the world from utter destruction?
Review: 3/5 I've been reading the Maximum Ride series for a while now. I think they're very thrilling, with a hint a romance to keep things interesting. My thing is supernatural, paranormal, science fiction romance novels. Now, my rating is based on my opinion only. Not what I think of the over all plot and structure and what not. because then it would get a 6/5. lol. No, really though. I thought it was refreshing.
