Step into this tent and see two rings of delight! On the left, a carnival of light and happiness, hope and wonder! On the right, a darker story of a long-forgotten tragedy plays out in the shadows. Which will you choose?



Any great circus needs performers. Once you have chosen which side is most interesting to you, we'll need you to provide a little bit of background information--we do like to get to know the help, after all.

Performer registration stretches from September 4 to September 14. You don't need to be in costume and ready to perform until the 14th, and our show will run until September 21st. When the performance begins on the 14th, please roll 1d10. We're a gambling sort around here, and we'll be pitting you against each other in one final battle.

• Your real name: Samantha Lynne
  Your stage name: Madame Vanity
  What do you do?: Sam is very steady and flexible and can be found walking in a table position or on her hands at any given moment, which is why her acta are usually done high about the ground on tight ropes or thin planks. she can walk the ropes while doing various contortions with her upper body or while juggling (and things of the matter) or swing from rings. Extremely acrobatic!
  What's your story?: Sam grew up with seven siblings, four older and three younger. In such a large family, she was used to fighting for attention, and typically failing. Her parents were accountants who expected no less than the very best from each of the children, but werent impressed when the children excelled because it was, well, expected of them. Even worse so, Sam was never the brightest, her head always in the clouds. Because of this, she was never shown affection when it was rarely ever shown. Due to the total lack of attention and quite frankly love she got from her parents, Sam abandoned that life to join a circus where maybe she could fit in and be noticed in a good way for once! She feels despite her parents words, she more than deserves it!

  What do you do? : Sayuri is an expert ballet dancer. She also learns how to use her skills in aerial dance and tries to partner up with acrobats for some exhibitions. She can also play some instruments, just for her leisure time. Mostly used intruments are harp and piano. She's primary purpose was to be a cute entertainer in front of the audience.
  What's your story? : Sayuri is an orphan, and there she got many awards for being a great dancer. Her father was a doctor from Japan and her mom is a mistress in Brazil. Not knowing what's the reason, she was left in the orphanage still a baby, but after 13 years she snuck out and ran away. For about a week of her sneaking out with no food to eat, she found a carnival. And there, she was found by a good man that brought her to the circus.

  What's your story?: The final creation of a twisted dollmaker dying of loneliness and insanity, Wind Up Doll #71, named Giselle, was his attempt to create a living, feeling doll. Although #71's eyes are hauntingly human-like, and its actions have an uncanny sentience, a doll cannot be brought to life. ...Right?
  Somehow #71 was able to escape the confines of its dead creator's workshop, and found its way to the Right Ring.

She then wondered Alleys and Ate what she could find desperate for food she started eating the glass from the alley ways getting only the nutrition of her own blood and what was left on the glass pieces.

  What do you do? : I'm able to move time and shift it to my ability and even conjure it at any given moment. In a way I'm like the greek god Hermes, who's able to summon and utilize time at any whim.
  What's your story? : Orphaned when first born, I never knew my parents and I was transferred in and out of foster homes. I set up a protective front vowing to never show anybody my true nature since they weren't blood related. When I was old enough to realize I cried and cried till I could cry no longer about my long lost parents. But then I disconnected from this world emotionally and physically. People thought I was strange because I'd just sit there looking lifeless wishing I had the life that I didn't have. Soon I heard a circus rolled into town and I decided to reach out to them to try and find a place in this world that wasn't meant for me.

  What do you do? : Has somewhat magical abilities and practices voodoo. In a show she might create a person out of thin air then use a voodoo doll to destroy that person which explodes in a flash of light and confetti. Oh, and likes swords. (Ihavenoidea.)
  What's your story? : Phill raised herself off of the streets when she was younger. She wanted revenge against her parents who abandoned her but she knew that she couldn't do it physically because she would get in major trouble. She had always loved dolls though and made them. One day while she was furious and making dolls, an old decrepit looking man with a strange aura of black magic came up to her and taught her voodoo. How to harness her anger into her dolls and connect them. Phill had a few locks of hair from her parents and used them for the dolls hair. The man taught her and soon enough she was ready. Lighting a fire she watched the dolls burn and once they were done went to go check that her parents were dead. Which they were. After that the man vanished, but Phill decided to use her newfound power for show; and whomever she disliked she could kill easily. Donning the name Acid Mannequin, Phill became a popular figure in the circus world. But people never forgot the chills they got whenever they saw her. Or whenever she pulled someone from the crowd to use in her shows. That person was magically never found fully alive again.
