...for my resolution this year.
I need ideas >:U if I'm gonna keep this up for 365 straight days.
Wanna help? :D Post a cool idea for me here (only if you don't mind me using it as my own...I don't wanna plagiarize >.<).
I'm looking for a descriptive sentence or two to get me going each day.
If I use your idea, I'll let you know.
If you wanna see the finished product (and updates later on, if I end up continuing the story), just hit me up and I'll send it to you.
I almost want to charge like 50g for that, but I kinda feel bad asking for it...it's my art, but off of your idea :/ I dunno.
If anyone actually wants that, I'll decide then.
BRAINSTORM AWAY >:D
Also, the poll question...
I kinda wanna open a shop selling short stories.
If I get enough positive responses, I'll try it out.
The young sorcerer in training ran down the hill as fast as he could trying to get away from his master. Stopping at the bottem to take a breath, he pulled out a potion that he thought might help. Hopeing to use it to go back 10 minutes in time to try and stop himself from accidently setting the shed on fire. .... (hope you have an idea off that) XD
Hows about:
She couldn't help being paranoid, though people found it annoying when she took five minutes to get out of the car just to make sure it was safe.
I dunno, I think stories about paranoid people are kinda funny :3
. . . you just ate a roadroller.
Yes... and?
It was my roadroller.
Again... yes... and?
I liked that roadroller.
... Get to your point
YOU ATE MY ROADROLLER.
Her lips pursed in annoyance, Riley threw the bag over her shoulder and stomped off into the rainy afternoon. She threw a middle finger up at the fast receding image of the red corvette that was speeding away, an expletive emerging from her mouth.

Gosh I should try something like this, at least a page a day. That's really inspirational.
A fun exercise I have tried is just going to google and typing a random word into the image search engine and then writing based on a pretty picture that pops up. I always get an idea for a scene that way really easily.
Hrm, I wish I could do something like this. I need to resolve to either write a page a day, or sketch something. Or a mixture of both. If I don't feel like writing I could sketch something.
That's not helping you though. I like to write fan-fictions for video games or rp's based around the character that I create. You could always do something like that. Or you could go to websites that are specifically made for generating plot ideas, and write a short story based on those. The plots can be REALLY odd though.
A good brainstorming technique can also be writing a "journal" for one of your characters. Not only do you flesh out some details of his/her life, you can expand on these entries and possibly come up with new chapters in your work.
"The night featured heavy fog with a full moon, and in a dark house, the young boy looked out the window. Trees disappearing and reappearing seconds later as the fog lifted every so often cast eerie shadows on the wall."
Just a brain storming idea. Anyone can take this. I've been thinking about it for a while myself.
