You're not the only one, I too want a child-free life. I can't have that responsibility to be taking care of another person or even a child for that matter. Relationship wise I pretty sure not everyone likes to be lonely, as for me my partner would have to agree on not having any kids, I just can't handle such responsibility.

I don't overly want a child though, just a partner, and its not a big deal if we break up, I'd be sad, who wouldn't? but I can always find someone new who will cheer me up afterwards and treat me well, plenty of fish in the sea. It wouldn't be the end of the world.

OH MY GOSH! It's like you're echoing what's going on inside my head, except that I'm 20 and I live in Portugal xD
I remember saying from a very young age that I wanted to live by myself and never get married or have kids because I wanted to focus on my job and on my dog (that I still don't have
). My family has been calling me crazy ever since and they swore I'd just grow up and change my mind. Well, guess what? I grew up and I haven't changed my mind.
Concerning the animals I've had all kinds of pets all my life except for a dog, which is the only one I've ever really begged for and I still dream of having one to this day but I realize now I'll have to wait until I move out so I can accomplish that dream. I'd also love to work at an animal shelter or something but I'm not really sure that's gonna be compatible with my job's schedules.
