I don't see the point of it really, why -pretend- to have sex when you can have -real- sex when you get home to your wife/husband, etc.

It's not to "Pretend" to have sex.
Some people don't live with their significant others or don't get to see them often.
It's fun ans flirty and a way to blow of that pent up sexual frustration, when you wish you could be having sex with them.

i dont get the appeal at all. but that could also be because of past trauma. -_-
when i was like i picked up my sisters phone to check the time, it was just sitting on the counter, the screen was no locked, our parents could have picked it up at any time, i open the front to see the clock and what do i see? her boyfriend playing with his d**k. yeah. that was her wallpaper. DX

I honestly don't approve of it. I think it's an invasion of privacy. I mean, what if you send them a picture, and you break up a week later. For revenge, that girlfriend / boyfriend can send those out for revenge or whatever. Phone sex is safer. Also, doing this stuff underage is considered child pornography and whomever receives it or gives it, can be arrested. This is wrong, imo.

How is willingly saying something/giving a picture to someone who wanted it invading anyone's privacy? "Sexting" isn't the problem when it comes to people spreading what was meant to be confidential information. Anything you do with or say to another person, regardless of whether you wanted it to remain private, could be shared with someone else without your permission in the future. It doesn't matter what you were doing or how long your relationship with the other person lasts.
And personally, I think the child pornography bit is silly.
