What are profiles?
Profiles are pages that you the user may edit to your liking for displaying your "about me"s, buddy list, etc.
Are there any limits as to what you can do with your profile?
As long as you obey the ToS and rules of Ernya.com there are no limits. There is nothing that you cannot remove here, so go crazy!
Things aren't working. Will you do it for me?
We do not all have time to work on every profile question or problem you have by hand, but if you make a thread here you may ask your question and a helpful Ernyan can come help you out. :)
There is, however, threads here in the Profile CSS Customization Discussion forum that provide free pre-made profiles. You may use those as long as you obey by the thread owner's specific rules!
Can I use so and so's profile?
No, you may not! This is called profile stealing and is against the rules of Ernya, as it goes under art theft. If you spot someone else using a profile made by someone else without permission please report it to a mod!
How do you make graphics for your profile?
Most people use Photoshop, or some program along those lines, for making their graphics. If you do not have the money or a program such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro try using GIMP, which is a free download that is a lot like Photoshop.
Where can I find more? Try downloading Firebug. It's super helpful. Plus W3Schools is super helpful when learning CSS.

Coding/Profile Troubles
When I put a code in my about section/custom css box/comment box it just gets deleted! What happened? Are you putting in a ">" symbol? If so this is the reason. The system recognizes this as an HTML code and tries to implement it without success, causing it to disappear.
Some of my coding isn't working past a certain point. Why is this? It could be because you forgot to close off a tag with a ; or a }. Make sure you close them off correctly!
I can't see/use my add/pm/trade buttons! Help! You can't see your own buttons. You will need to use a mule/different browser to view them. =)
How do I add music to my profile?
You may code YouTube videos into your profile, but our system does not recognize any other music provider. Please read the YouTube section of this guide to learn how to put your own in!
Something looks different on my computer vs. so and so's computer. Why?
Common reasons for this is either a) browser compatibility or b) screen resolution. I will recommend Firefox as a browser since it usually is up to date and most other browsers will recognize codes as Firefox will. IE has the most trouble when it comes to this, so I wouldn't recommend coding in IE.
To get around this, center your background and then position your sections.

Your Browser - This is to be sure we know what browser you're having the problem in, as some codes work with some browsers and some don't.
The Section - If we don't know the section you're having trouble with we can't help!
The Property - Make sure you state what property/style that's not working correctly. That way we can narrow down what's not going right.
The Code - Paste the code you're having trouble with here too! But please don't copy your entire profile code if it is long. Try just smaller parts.
Screenshots - If you want you can take screenshots and have them posted here too. It might be easier to visualize what's going wrong. =)
