As you walk past the corner shoppe and peer into the frosted windows, you are taken aback by the decorum you see. Hearts, everywhere! Lighted hearts flashing in the windows which are fogged with the meeting of the warm shop and the cold street.

Intrigued, you step inside curiously and are immediately met by a brown faun, hustling about the shop. With the click-clack of her hooves on the hardwood floor and the swishing of her skirts and bustle she barely notices you. Suddenly, she turns to you swiping a tendril of vibrant hair from her face.

"Well hello there! Welcome! I am so happy to see you here, come right on in and warm yourself by the fire!"

Smiling, the faun takes your jacket, folding it in half over her forearm and gently prodding you towards a sitting area near the large mantle of the shop. You look around and notice the furniture is covered in deep red and pink velvets it seems warm and plush so you take a seat.

The faun looks to you once more before seemingly just realizing she still has your jacket on her arm. Quickly, she trots to the closet and hangs your jacket up, returning to where you have sat.

"My name is Amelie! I run this shop here- well, it is not really a shop once I think about it. More of a welcoming place to stay, meet friends and take part in a fun gift exchange! As you can see by the place, I am getting ready for Valentine's day!"

You nod and notice her flitting from area to area, tweaking decorations and adding snacks and candies to empty spots.

"I have a bit more to do with setup, but please, make yourself at home! There is some more information on the table about all the fun we have here! I hope to see you around, but please excuse me!"

She trods quickly off to her office and shuts the door quietly leaving you to look over the shop and the information on the table....

Here is the basic anatomy of this user-run event!

1. Decide on a price range which you would like to buy in for another user. This will also be the price range that your gift will be chosen from. You may not be placed in a higher price range to receive a gift.
For example: If you are placed in the 1,000g+ range- you will give a gift valued from 1,000g-2,500g. You will also receive a gift valued the same.
You may GIVE a gift worth more than the bracket which you sign up in.
All participants can enter BOTH a price bracket AND the art exchange if they so wish.

2. Fill out the form located at the bottom of this post. If you have any questions before posting, feel free to PM me or ask in the thread and someone who has participated prior may be able to help answer your question.

3. On February 10th, 2012 at 00:00 hours PST, applications are no longer recieved. On this date (or within a day after) you will receive the username of someone within the same price bracket as yourself. This is who you will be buying a gift for.

4. In order to give your gift, you have two options. On February 14th (or within 3 days after on February 18th by 11.59PM PST), you can send your gift to the person who you were assigned to. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may send the gift to this account and it will be delivered on time in your stead.

Gift Exchange Schedule of Events:
02/08/12 - You have until this date to withdraw your name.
02/09/12 @ 11.59 PM PST - Forms must be submitted by this date/time.
02/10/12-02/11/12 - Names will be issued.
02/11/12-02/18/12 - Gifts can be sent to this account for anonymous delivery.
02/14/12-02/18/12 - Gifts may be sent out if not sending anonymous.
02/18/12 @ 11.59 PM PST - Gifts must be received by this date/time or you will be blacklisted.
