This idea has been put forth by myself and a few of my close friends on Ernya, and I decided to do something about it. To start, I am not against inflation - inflation on a site is natural and should not be fought. However, hearts are a constant on Ernya; they are not like the Emo Panda or the Pandamore that is no longer introduced into the system. If hearts inflate too much, too fast, then the starter prices of DIs/CIs/Spells will grow, as well as the inflation of these items, as soon as they leave stores. The prices of hearts affect all items on Ernya, and therefore, they shouldn't shoot up as quickly as they have been recently.

Hearts are a currency that one can receive from donating to Ernya- therefore, the price of hearts should not be regulated by Ernya herself, but by the users. I am all for a user-based economy; but as users, we should be able to join together to try and slow down inflation so it won't be too ridiculous. When I joined Ernya on July 2nd, 2010 - the prices of hearts were 185g. Now they are selling for 300g. I don't know what the hearts started at, but it took them a year to get to 185g - why should they jump 115 or more in a matter of a month or so? It seems unfair to me.

If you agree with this, please post here and let other users know! If enough of us join together to promise to only sell and buy hearts at 200g, then there will be a difference. Some users will still buy and sell for more - but most of us won't.

NOTE: I have bought over 150 200 hearts this week for 200g/each. So it is still a possibility, and worthwhile!

This thread is going to involve a single list: a list of Ernyans that promis to only sell and only buy hearts for 200g/each.

Disclaimer: This thread is not meant to be a thread full of arguments or flaming. If you want to sell your hearts, or buy them, for more than 200g/each, then feel free. I'm not complaining in your threads, so please, for the sake of all of us, don't complain in mine. You can put forth your point of view, but if it gets too bad, I do have the right to ask you to leave; don't make me use it, please.

If you want to be on this list, post and say so! This is an "unofficial boycott" thread, [but isn't meant to boycott hearts in general - just high prices]. If you are on this list, that means you are agreeing to buy and sell hearts for 200G OR LESS! And nothing more than 200g. If you have any mules, please list those as well, if you're comfortable in doing so [in order to know if you are selling hearts for more on your mules and such]. :3

Rules
1] Keep it clean! Debate and discussion is always acceptable on Ernya, but if it gets too dirty, I'll have to step in.

2] If you post on this thread and want to be on the list, please stick to it. It may not work immediately, but as this thread grows, and if everyone sticks to it, there will be results. And please do not sell or buy hearts for more than 200g - 200g is the maximum. [But less is always okay!]

3] This isn't a rule, just a suggestion. If you support this cause, it'd be very helpful if you said so in your shop, signature, wherever! Just to help spread the word. ;)

4] That's all the rules. ;3 I may add more, if needed.

Blacklist
This is a list of the people who have promised to be on this list, and then sold hearts at more than 200g. OR people who have bought for 200g and have been found selling for profit. Basically, I really hope no one will ever be on this list. I'm not going to point people out specifically, only if they lie in this thread. :)

I'm in. I sell hearts each month, but never buy them. However, if I do I'll only buy them @ 200g each.

Edit; I too can't guarantee I'll always be selling. It's usually just on a whim.

Oh ok, gotcha. I hope by doing this it stabilizes the economy here somewhat. I've made note of a couple exchangers who I will not be selling to as well...

Yes definitely, if someone outright lies then I think we should all know. But as far as personal sales and a list, I think non-public is the best way to go. I think it probably would be negative name dropping as well.
