View topic - Is everything possible?

Literally, everything.
I do, if there was a future (Yes, if.) i think everything is possible, it just takes time.
So, do you believe that every thing is possible?

Thanks to Ĵɛlly βɛαns.
Sure, I am accepting to such theories.

I enjoy being able to mull over the different thoughts of others and their reasoning behind such things.

I highly doubt that we are the only true form of sentient being. Mayhaps we are walking around different realms without noticing it. The "membrane" is probably very thick. Also, maybe it is very thin in certain places when others can see us....and sometimes if we are willing, we can see them.

I am just big into the sidhe folk. Many need to experience things before believing...and even when have experiences, they belittle it by using science.

No, I do not willing accept everything unless I have good reason to...this applies to faith or whatever and as well as science. Both can have flaws. There has to be a middle somewhere where these two can marry.

Anyhow, I do not pretend to know about all of these things since I only focus on the sidhe.

Yea that is true, everyone would need to experience something before believing it. But there may be some things that we have not yet to discover. And about us not being the only form of Sentient being, i agree with that, there must be something else out of this world that's beyond of our reach at the moment.

Thanks to Ĵɛlly βɛαns.
Define everything.
I do not think anything 'supernatural' is possible or ever will be, as there is nothing but nature (nothing but physical existence).
If science proves me wrong someday - well, the moment something's been proven, IT'S NO LONGER SUPERNATURAL.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "everything"?
I think, in a sense, most things are definitely possible... I don't think you can cheat nature though, to an extent. And even if you could, it wouldn't be in our best interest anyway...

Taking "everything" to literally mean everything I can think of? Fuck no. I can entertain the thought of surviving at the center of a star as being possible, but it's not and never will be.

If you mean "everything" to only include things within the realm of what we know is possible now, then also no. Some people can ascend to great heights from very small ones, but others try as hard as humanly possible and still simply die like a dog.

I'm not a criminal, not a role model, not a born leader I'm a tough act to follow.

Drew and I have been together for over a year now~

Yes, everything.
What if they created a pill or some sort of drug that would give you supernatural powers, and then they would use it for military purposes?
And you can't cheat nature? What about those rats with human ears on them?

Thanks to Ĵɛlly βɛαns.
I'd love to say anything is possible...but really? No...there are certain things that aren't. A pill with supernatural powers? Mm, the most I could see is sharper hearing, enhanced eyesight. That seems more believable. I'd have to day the way things are going who knows what will happen 20-30 years from now?ni mean, if you have an open mind - there's a lot of things that could happen.

To an extent, as I said. We can't reverse time (I don't think it'd ever be possible), we can't live forever, and we cannot stop time, for example.
Some things in nature just can't be manipulated with...

And whatever was their goal for having rats with human ears? Was there an actual point to doing that?

If everything is possible, than everything evil is possible as well. It's not a package of pure shiny goodness, it's EVERYTHING.

The "many worlds" theory of the universe is that literally everything can, has, and will happen. Every possibility of every event has happened somewhere.

Publicly the dead cannot be brought back to life.
Publicly death is unavoidable.
Publicly the future cannot be predicted.
Publicly time cannot be bought with money.
Publicly money does not grow on trees. (I'm talking about real cash here, not Gaia.)
Even if you say "what if", it's simply "what if", which means that it does not happen at this very moment, or... it does and you have no knowledge of it.

While I may seem to be saying "No, it's not, you idiot", I'm the type to accept possibilities as long as it's proved that there are possibilities. I'm neither a walking encyclopedia nor a superior being who knows everything that is and will be happening all over the universe. Thus, since my knowledge is limited and everything I say can have exceptions, there's still chance that "everything is possible".

However, if you're asking if everything is possible for me, it's definitely a no. So if you want a specific answer, you'll need to specify your question.

And I reckon I'm making no sense now. >>

The fox who longed for grapes, beholds with pain
The tempting clusters were too high to gain;
Grieved in his heart he forced a careless smile,
And cried ,‘They’re sharp and hardly worth my while.’

Yes, but within the laws of physics - of this universe, or of the other universe.

I think some things could become possible in time, but.. we wouldn't be here to find out because no one lives forever

Definitely. I think anything is impossible, as long as someone has the determination and time to make it happen.
