You may have already heard of SOPA and PIPA, instead of me explaining what those two bills are (I advise and encourage you to educate yourself with the provided links below). Let me explain what these bills mean for Ernya or any other site like it.
The bills basically force anyone who runs a website to become an online police man. If we would not do a good enough job of preventing our users from linking to or mentioning something that is copyrighted or in some way violating copyright infringement material on our site. Entire website could be shutdown without a notice, or an appeal at court.

What can you do?
The outcome will be decided on the 24th of January, this gives you only a few days to act. You can show this to as many friends as possible and you can say no to this, go to the link below and in the right column fill in your details and sign the petition against SOPA and PIPA.

I live in the UK, and have been keeping tabs on this, simply because I'm worried that it may be picked up by us (let's face it, the UK government is a bit of sheep where the USA is concerned =P)
