Junk food is actually much cheaper then healthy food. Such as, so many people eat at fast food. A dollar cheeseburger, I think it is, people will buy a few of those rather then taking the time to cook a meal at home. There is a huge difference between 'fat' and being obese. 'Fat' people can weigh a bit but still be healthy however, it's highly unlikely that you're healthy if you're obese.
But this isn't even about fat acceptance, what about the acceptance of people that are underweight? That's not beauty nor healthy either. You cannot just assume 'fat' is the only wrong doing here because then you're not really concern about the health issues attached, you're just doing it to make yourself better. I never understood that how some people could say fat is unhealthy yet, not say anything at all about people that are underweight. They are very similar, there are people that cannot put on weight just like how there are people in this world that can't take it off no matter what they do.
Considering what you said Poot:
I was recently back in the psych ward and was in the eating disorders unit for a few days (because there were no beds on the normal unit)...and I was astounded. There were 15 ana/mia girls there and 1 binge eater. The binge eater was quite large...and she kept saying that she was glad she wasn't ana/mia because "It was so unhealthy and made the girls look terrible". This girl, no joke, weighed 400lbs. The thing is, it's a common perception.
You do realize that it is in fact unhealthy and it does also make them look terrible? This is exactly what I mean, people such as yourself only want to look at one side of the picture, you have a problem with fat people, you don't really care if it's healthy or not.
