Bahhh new items. Sorry guys, i'll try to update asap. The more info you post the more i <3 you. Old info was put in my next post.
Q:Where do i get the items?
A:You get the various pirate themed items from chests.
Q:So...where do i get chests?
A:There are 4 types of chests so far, you can get a green one from posting still, and a red, gum, and purple one from clues.
Q:How do i know if I have gotten a green chest?
A:It will show up after you post under the "You got __gold for that post" thing. You can get it randomly in any and all forums Excluding the games forum. They seem to be quite rare.
Q:Help! How do i open my chest??
A: If you get a gum, purple, or red colored chest you have to buy the corresponding key in the event shop. If you have a green chest, it can be opened without a key. (the black, silver and gold are for old chests)
Q:Where are the clues?
A: Various clues will be posted as a new announcement in the Poop Deck (This forum) You have to decipher the clue and figure out what other forum and thread it is in. But you only have a limited amount of time (usually about 10 minutes but it differes sometimes depending on the difficulty of the clue) to do so before the chest is stolen back and the thread locked.
Q:I'm in the thread that the clue led me to, but where is the chest?
A:look through the first page. It should be hiding among the posts.
Q:I missed a clue! Did i miss a chance at getting an item?
A:Nope. There are only the 4 different chests, (green from posting and red, gum(Pink) and purple from clues) So you can get any the items from any future clues except the old chests.
Q: So whe's the next clue?
A: It is usually posted in the last post of the clue thread before it is locked. Then they usually give a 5 minute or so warning in the real announcement. The clues are usually spaced out from about 20-50 minutes. It changes depending on the amount of people online.
Q:When will it end? I want enough time to find all the items!
A:It will end on Sept. 19th. (Aka national talk like a pirate day). The last clue will be at 9pm EST.

But your chance at getting certain items are completely random. You might end up with 10 hats :p
