I see that as very silly to do too. I don't take that much pride in my pixels.. xD;;
I've seen a person will an avatar tattoo from another site. Holy..dtryg, it was huge and looked unappealing to me, then again people have their own interests so who knows.
If ever getting a tattoo, it'd get something more meaningful..

It's an interesting idea, but I'd never do that. It'd make me feel as if a doll was staring at me while I'm asleep. Only difference is that it'd be attached to me. OTL

for one it would clash with my roses & iron wrought fence tattoos
and second that's something too permanent to symbolize something so easily changeable and temporary

2. it's permanent
3. i change my mind all the time

And of an Ernya avatar? Never. Ernya is fun. It really is. But would i like the tattoo when i'm 50?
