of nearly all the books, which have been turned into movies, that i do know there is no movie better than the book. i think there´s always something missing
I tend to prefer the books over the movies. The only way for me to enjoy a movie that was based on a book is if I read the book only after seeing the movie.
I'd have to say I generally prefer books to movies just because of the detail of the writing and I enjoy imagining the characters as I want to instead of how they are portrayed in Hollywood movies.
I always like the book better than the movie. Movies are very limited. Unless you make a bunch of movies, there will never be as much detail as there was in the book. Movies tend to leave out a lot of things and characters become less personal.
I personally enjoy the book nine times out of ten then the movie, but as I always say movies on their own are good depending if you have read the book ot not. Like before I read The Notebook the movie was perfect, but then I read the book and comparing the two they are both very good on their own. Even Interview with the vampire is good on it's own.
It all really depends on the person and how hard of a judge you are.
Hmm, I guess both..not sure.
I like books cause as you said they tell the whole story,
they don't skip anything, but the dislike is I rather see
it in a movie for it's more action. :3
The movie always sucks. Except for Harry Potter. I have to admit they did an excellent job with those movies! Except for... maybe the eighth movie. It was a lot of wandering around in the forest and being alone. I can't even remember what it was about.
Always like the book better. Usually the pictures I make in my mind of what's happening in the book are much better than anything the film directors can come up with.
The only book and movie I see as about equal are Howl's Moving Castle. Yes, they went in a pretty different direction than the original book, but it was done well enough that it worked. Plus Miyazaki is amazing anyway.
