Its also unequivocally rude, imo, when they have it hidden so you cant turn it off....

Yes if the music is something i like if not i just put my computer on mute.
I hate the auto play on ernya. It usually ends up slowing down my computer. It sucks.

It's entirely dependent on the music that's playing. I have a very varied taste in music so it isn't often that I hear a song that I don't like, but I do usually listen to my own music as I browse, so it can sometimes be a little annoying. More so if the pause button is hidden, as nice as music is, if I'm listening to my favourite song I will want to turn off the other person's before my own.
I've sometimes been introduced to new music via profile autoplays, or find someone that has a similar music taste to me, so that's always a bonus in my book. (:

If i don't like the songs, then i'll just mute my speakers or pause it.
It's like getting to know the person better just knowing what music they like to listen to.
