- Do you like it when profiles have music on autoplay?
It annoyed me so much. .___. Especially if it's a whole video (not just a small button, since I reckon my computer doesn't slow down as much if it's not a video) and something doesn't sound great to me. I kept almost getting heart attacks because of this when I first joined. And they weren't just on profiles, either.
It's less annoying for me now, though, 'cause it seems fewer people make music auto-play nowadays (or I'm just lucky? XD). But then I guess after all my tweaking with the profile codes and such, I also kinda begin to understand why people want to auto-play it.
Still, that doesn't mean I completely agree with them, though.

i don't think it's as bad as most people make it to be, unless they have it hidden, that's different.
but most people wouldn't press the play button if it wasn't auto, i don't see what's wrong with getting to know some songs you may not have ever heard. i've found some new bands because of autoplay on people's profiles, i wouldn't press the play button on profiles.

If I'm going back and forth to the same person's profile because they posted a message on mine I have to hear the music EVERY TIME! I ended up muting my browser page (Thank the lord that Windows 7 has that option)
I think it's a cool idea and I like hearing what people post, but I just wish after the first time it would stop x.X;;

I prefer to choose to click the play button if I want to hear that person's music. Nothing against auto-play, it's just I'm already usually listening to my own music (sometimes loudly) and then all of a sudden I'm bombarded with nothing but clashing sounds. xD
I honestly have to say no. It always freaks me out when the music starts. I don't know why, but it does.

Agreed. I also have this issue that sometimes the music won't start playing until after a while and when it does start I'm already on a different tab and I run all my tabs like crazy trying to figure out which one of them just randomly started singing xD

I've yet to add music to my profile, but I know that somtimes it can be a pain when its on autoplay, either because I don't like the music, or just because I dont want to hear anything and have forgotten to turn the sound off or somthing. Like when your watching a tv show and you click on someones profile and sound just appears.
However, there have been profiles that I quite like the sound of and have even commented on it.
But overall I don't have a problem with autoplay on profiles as I normally don't go on them. -w-;;

I like music, I just hate when you can't find the play button to stop it if it's a bad song lol

It also depends on the type of music. Having some sort of calm instrumental only music is not the same as having hard rock or anything else that's a bit loud. I wouldn't mind having classical instrumental music on autoplay. I still think it should have a button to allow us to turn it off though.

Kuro doesn't like autoplay on any page. Profile, Tumblr, etc. It's kind of annoying since, when Kuro's browsing around profiles, she's listening to her own music and it ends up overlapping. Having to pause your own music first to fiddle around to turn theirs off gets really annoying. It's even worse when it's embedded into the profile and there's no button to turn it off.

Music is a wonderful addition to any profile, even more so if it sets a mood for the theme or shows you a side of that person's personality, but it may not be to everyone's taste. I also agree that unless you actually want/need to have the video showing it's better to have it hidden but have play/pause controls (really helps when you have slow internet or are fighting the nightly lag). Ultimately I don't like having the crap scared out of me when I go to someone's profile XD I don't have that problem right now due to driver failures that are immobilizing my audio card but still.

personally i very dislike when there's auto play. sure, put a song on your profile, but put it on pause please.
