View topic - Do you guys ever feel awkward...

Talking about Ernya with your friends? .___.;

Idunno, none of my friends have ever really given Ernya a chance except for my sister
(who ended up leaving suddenly to play another game).
And almost every time I say, "I'm going home now," the first thing that people say is
"Going home to play Ernya?"

Other times it'll be:
"You still play that game?"
And other things like that. .__.;
It's come to the point that I don't feel comfortable posting in front of my friends
because they tend to scoff or roll their eyes and what-not when they see me on this
site.

But yeah.
Do you guys feel comfortable playing Ernya when you're around your friends? 8C
(What a lame topic to discuss about, Loved!)

Yeah, I'm fine with talking about Ernya because everyone enjoys things people don't understand. I'm not usually on the computer with friends though since I'm normally outside, away from a computer xD

Hate is easy; Love takes courage.

It is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.
I see what you mean. xD
But my friends often come to my house as well (especially my best friend) and I just
find myself closing all of my Ernya tabs because he likes to point random things out
that just sounds awkward coming from his mouth. o___o;

Like when he says the subject title of my Exchange thread or something like that. xD

Lmao, does he play anything that you don't like or something? oxo Idk, I've seen people give things when people play avi sites on other sites, and to me, it's no big deal, they just don't understand xD

I AM AN ANGEL OF THE LORD.
That topic almost never comes up for me. o_O
Since I play Ernya in stints, and it's on and off whenever I have a big break and have time. But when I do have time...I'm usually alone and gone away from my normal friends in college.

My close friends know about it, and have the same reaction as yours do Loved.
Most of my friends are athletic/super social though, so yeah. XD;

To be honest I would never outright tell people I knew about Ernya.

I have been ridiculed a lot by my friends and family about online activities. When I was into Gaia way back in 03/04 my parents looked down on my and none of my friends were into the internet or anything like that so I didn't feel comfortable talking about it.

I play WoW now and do a lot of different av forums, but I don't tell anyone I know about them. lol

Yeah, my friends don't understand. I think they think that it's weird. I don't hide the site from them but I don't make it a subject of conversation or really go on it much when they're around.

Hah hah, not really. xD
Any game that they play, I have most likely played before myself.

Oh yey. ; u;
Everything feels so much better nowwww.
/Snuggles you.

I've never tried to get them to play though. xD
Since they haven't really even accepted the idea of me playing myself.

@ Rainyyy:
Same here! o:
I guess that since my friends have so much other stuff to do they think of this game
as silly. ;___;

@ Sarah:
Ooh, I see what you mean. D:
I don't tell my family about my online games. xD
They wouldn't really care anyway and would say that its an overall waste of time. :c

@ Grape:

@ Scarling:

I have it slightly like you do xD
Although most of my friends doesn't even know about it.
I would never talk about ernya to friends in RL because they wouldn't understand why it's fun with online communities and such..

Its like that sometimes...depends who sees it. Some of my friends are like "why waste your time in an animated game?" and just stuff like that o__o
But my best friend, Kristen, actually likes it. When she comes over she likes to look at what other ppl have to say and its kinda cool...but at school i just keep my mouth shust cause nobody really likes that kind of stuff :P
So i totally get what ur saying

I get lightly teased by my friends and bf, they don't understand.
But they aren't mean about it or anything.
A lot of them have actually joined and tried it out for me, after teasing though.
And a few of them liked it, some not, and some only log on occasionally for me.

All in all, I don't feel awkward about it, since they don't judge.
They just aren't into it themselves.

I don't really spend time in real life with my friends anymore, no longer really have time or gas/money to meet them in person, so no. I wouldn't feel awkward discussing it either. My boyfriend has no problem with it and often asks me how things are going on here. ^_^
