I know i might sound mean and like a prick but this how i feel and i want to see if there is anybody that feels the same way i do. In my opinion to me i feel and see the Human Race as a parisite and a disease to this planet. Because look what we do to it with out polution, cuting down the rain forest, global warming that is caused by us, oil spills wars, and everything else we do to the enviornment and the animals there is so much more that i can't name. We also go through our fosile fuels. Im not saying that the human race has to wiped off the face of the earth but we have to change if we don't there will be nothing left of this precious planet for our childeren, grand children and their children. I care for this planet and i hate what we are doing to it. Do you agree with me or do you disagree. and what are your opinions on what we are doing

I think I almost agree other than you can't say all humans are part of harming the earth. But yup all over humans aren't good for the nature and I think we should do something too. It's hard for one person in this kind of system but I guess that if we all do our best (especially our leaders) then we would be able to do a lot about it

I don't think that too much of any creature is good. And there is definitely way too many humans. To think we were almost extinct once with only a population of 15,000 people.

yes there are to many people on this planet. and think about this the sharks in the ocean they have survived 4 mass extictions and now they are going extinct because of us so are the black rinos and the white rinos with another race of rinos right up there with them so yes we are harming this earth

I agree in a way. But it didn't ever have to be this way. I honestly also don't see this changing anytime soon even despite how much we try, there are too many people too set in their ways to make a big change. Honestly, I think our constant need to advance and create new technology is one day going to destroy this race and probably the earth with it.

i mean i like our tecnology but in ways i bet it could be something i could do with out go back to the days when we lived off the land instead of how we do now

Ah yes...we harm nature, the animal kingdom, and our own kind.
Why? I guess because we can and no one can stop us...what is nature going to do? What are the animals going to do? Only we can stop us....right???
Tons of us can go on discussing such things but fussing about the problem will not stop the problem. It is pretty negative to think but just a small group of people cannot accomplish much...not with how much misery there is.
Sometimes it is just too late...sure, I have no idea of when Earth will throw a huge fit at what we have done to Her. I sometimes like to think all of the natural disasters that happen are of Earth punishing us or Earth trying to some how sort out the abuse that our race has put her through...no idea. -shrugs-
We just never seem happy with what we have. We always want more. We will leave others behind and not give a damn about them if they somehow do not benefit our end goals. We keep on marching in a selfish way towards the future while leaving a huge mess behind...when will we be responsible?
We are like little kids. We want...want...want and are too immature to clean up our messes.
There are places where nature is at her best but it will not take long for those places to be gone. We use to have a strong connection with the Earth in the past...yes, some of us still do.
Now that we have homes...gadgets....technology to do things for us....blah, blah, blah....we really have no need to be keeping busy a lot outside.
What...we will trash another planet after we are through with this one? Will the cycle never end?
Anyways. That is enough from me. I could go on about my beliefs about the sidhe who are part of nature but different story.

I do not really believe in evil and good and the gray area between that...we just do what we do and so on. We have different goals and wants. Modern life is quite busy these days so it is sometimes difficult to just slow down and reflect.
I do not want to see our race in a bad light....because we are not bad really. We just make mistakes...some more horrible than others ones. Some of us will learn from our misdoings while others will not.
We have the potential for greatness and for not so great things. It is just up to us how we wish to use our abilities.

Nah. We're just one more creature doing what it does naturally. If we do use up our resources, then too bad for us. But it's not like every single human out there is the same. Not to be an even bigger prick, but for those who do feel like humanity is such a plague, well, what are you still doing here? I think we ought to curb our reproduction and find cleaner ways to use our resources, sure, but I don't think we're any worse than any other creature. Humans aren't the devil. Sometimes it just takes them a while to realize that something has negative effects. In fact, we've made quite an effort over the years to change/fix those. The world will keep turning with or without us in the end and we'll either find a way to keep ourselves running or we'll learn the hard way. Doesn't concern me all that much which it is, really.

Like, many women don't use cloth menstrual pads because they are unaware of how to take care of them, and where to purchase them.
Also, some people are unaware of what products are made by child slaves, and what products are not. We need more education about how to protect the earth! It's not so much that "the human race is doomed" no, the human race is uneducated.

I think a lot of people are realizing this...people are doing what they can to "Go Green." I'm seeing it everywhere. I think in time that recycling will be mandated by law, along with a hundred other "green" things that I can't think of right now. But lifestyle changes like this take time. The fact is that people are trying. Just keep doing your part. Earth will be ok :)
As a biology major with environmental science focus, I can both agree and disagree. We've allowed our population to swell to thousands of times the sustainable level and there's pretty much nothing we can do about it now. Nothing short of a tragedy like a global plague or nuclear war is going to save us from ourselves. And as much as I hate to say something cruel or heartless, mother nature has a way of evening things out. Chances are sometime in the next 100 or so years a global plague that wipes out huge populations is going to become a reality, much like the black plague a few centuries ago.
But there are a few things unique to our species other than vast overpopulation and wanton destruction of the world around us. We're capable of making things. We can make things to help fix the environment, in fact many people already are. Don't doubt that just a dozen or so of the greatest minds engineering and environmental science has to offer can rapidly change the face of our war on global warming. We can engineer trees to grow faster and stronger, we can make plants survive almost anything, and we might even be able to make "plant bombs" that seed a vast area in a matter of seconds.

i want to do my part in helping but i live with my grandma my aunt and my aunts kid and they are kinda wastefull. my grandma and my aunts kid leaves on almost every light in the house all day long and almost all night. there is one kitchen light that turns on when ever it gets dark out and it doesn't get turned off untill the morning and there is alot of other things that bother me and so really i can't do a whole lot with my family and it bothers me
