Well humans were constructed to live off the earth naturally, we've just evolved soo much as a race we dont really rely on the features of the earth as much as we did before, i mean ofc we eat food/bathe in water etc, but im talking like transport, we didnt always have cars, or cement/brick houses, and alot of that stuff causes damage to the earth, whether its intentional or not.
I think a lot of people want to harm it, ofc there's always going to be the bad apples of the class, but i dont think all tho.
Maybe we all just need to get back in touch with nature.

I agree with you to an extent, but not completely. It's rather ironic, because it is not just humans killing the planet but other living creatures as well. A number of us do indeed negatively effect the planet, yet there is also others such as yourself whom are worried for the planet. Some of the living creatures such as cows and locusts cause some environmental issues as well. For example, the gas that cows release cause pollution, and as for the locusts-- or really any bug or creature that eats away acres of plants, kill them. Due to this, farmers or gardeners use some sort of spray against parasites thatvare harmful for the enviroment. What I find ironic though, is that creatures tend to cause a chain of pollution. Like a cause and effect type of thing. Whether it's intentional or not, in my point of view, every species takes some part in pollution and is like that of a parasite.

I agree that humans are making the plant inhabitable for humans and a lot of other living creatures.

I disagree that humans are destroying the plant.

    Nature takes care of itself.
We're killing ourselves, and we're taking some with us, but a lot will survive long after us.
The creatures that survive will manage just fine.

I'm not that worried about the planet, I'm more worried about us.
And well, the animals that we make suffer directly, not through death but through imprisonment and slaughter.

    @Ciel
The cows affect the atmosphere negatively because humans "produce" too many cows for industrial production. o 3o
And sprays against parasites, it's the spray that's bad for the environment, not the animal. Therefore, still humans' fault.

I will agree that you have a point. But other than that I very much do not share your opinions. Humans aren't a blight or a plague. We are one of Earth's creatures, and belong here just as much as anything else. Sure we are using up the fossils fuels and spoiling the environment, but there are already steps being made to stop the destruction and even heal what we've already done.

Not entirely, but we are the most horrible creature on this planet. We lie, cheat, kill, steal, become corrupt and etc. We hurt the environment and kill endangered plants and animals every day, it a shame. I think if only 20% of the human populace remained then that would be ideal, but I don't think they should be picked, they should be random, strangers and different cultures and etc to protect diversity. Our population is out of control and we keep taking and taking form the earth without helping it and sustaining it.

Thanks~ You've compelled me to rant.

You know, I'd really like to get a group of people together, who actually care. I don't want this group to be a bunch of posers who think its hip to join the cause. I want people who understand that their life is just as valuable as the guy next to them, and are willing to give it up to defend someone in need.
Maybe some of these people are soldiers, who fight injustice in countries that can't fight for themselves. Or perhaps they're the kid who sat with the school's undesirables at lunch when nobody else would. Maybe you saved a life, or just made someone smile.
Maybe you're religious, and it's fine if you are, but I personally don't need some ancient text to tell me to do what's right. I'm not afraid of going to hell.
In fact, I'm more afraid for the people who are committing murder on behalf of something they call "God".

You don't have to be a saint; You can be the worst person on the planet for all I care, but if you commit to making the world a better place, then you're a better person than any of the bystanders who don't. At least, in my book.

I really feel like this is the generation that will change everything.

I agree with you on the cow and locust thing, it's why I'm not a vegetarian, but can we truthfully say that if humans never existed, the population of cows and locusts wouldn't be balanced out by their natural predators?

Still, we do exist, so there isn't any use in my hypotheticals~

I couldn't agree with you more.

I personally believe that the best one could do is inform the public of what is going on and to make the personal changes needed to their lifestyle in order to help make the planet better. It's true that many people will say "theirs nothing we can do", but the bloody lot of them are just lazy anyway. People can make enough of a change to make a difference if they just open themselves to making a change in their life.
