Do you do them because you feel fat?

Do you do them because you want to loose weight.

Do you do them just to feel better?

What's your reason(s) that your on a diet or would take a diet. What kind of things would you do if you where on a diet also?

I'm on one now because I want to fit into my gorgeous vintage clothes. cool

All I'm doing is watching my calories. I researched what the minimum healthy calories per day was and then I track what I eat so I don't go too much over that each day. I still try to balance my choices between the food groups and stuff, and I still get treats - I just have to have less of what I chose to eat.

I think there's lots of reasons to work on maintaining a healthy weight and as someone who has to read food labels for allergens anyways, I think a general awareness of the content and nutritional value of our food is a good thing too.

I'm not on a diet, and I never really have been. I just try to eat right, and with sometimes eating food that isn't good for me. And I don't eat late at night.

I wouldn't really call it a diet, but I was watching what I ate a bit more a few years back when I wanted to lose a bit of weight.

All I did was cut back a little bit at meals, since the actual food I eat is pretty healthy most of the time.

I wouldn't go on one of them fad diets or anything. It's important to eat healthy balanced meals.

The last part of what you said is so true, people need to not try these fad diets, cause when they stop then they just gain the weight back which is so bad for your body.

I really don't even go on diets. I just eat different foods if I think what I'm used to at the time is making me worse off. I prefer to eat healthy meals over junk food and such any day.

Definitely. It's kind of annoying to see celebrities or magazines touting fad diets, since they're not very good in the long-run.

I don't know if I'd call it a "diet", but sometimes I count my calories. Not excessively, but if I'm in the mood for a chocolate bar or something, I'll go for the one with the lowest amount of calories and the lowest percentage of fats. I usually snack on fruit, but when I get junk food cravings, I try to avoid the high-calorie snacks.

I don't usually go on diet, sometimes when I go through a phase of feeling fat, I just eat very little and get turned off food entirely. Whenever I've tried to follow a proper diet, I never manage to follow through with it. Heh

      I can understand why people go on diets, you feel much better when you're healthy. I prefer working out over "diets," though. But, some people don't have the time or whatever to do such, so they prefer to diet.

I've recently considered dieting since I've suddenly gained, what I see as, a ton of weight. (slight exaggeration XD) But I've never been on one before, and I have little motivation to stay with it. :[

I'm attempting to be more active since I just sit all day mainly XD So walks, pilates type stuff on those round balls you sit on, etc. It can't hurt...? lol

    I don't think I'm FAT per se, but I could lose a little weight, yeah.

    Mostly, I'm on my current diet and exercise regime to flatten my tummy. I want abs and a nice tone stomach. I've got a bit of a belly going on and I don't like it at all. @-@
    I'm watching my calories, avoiding soda and fat greasy foods, and trying to cut out really bad foods for me. Working so far, though!

Nah. I watch my calories and try to get as much exercise as I can. I have a thyroid condition that makes weight loss extremely difficult, so the most important thing is accepting my body as it is--otherwise, I'd be miserable.

Technically your diet is whatever you eat.
Even if you eat a bajillion hamburgers a day, it's still technically a diet.
An unhealthy one, but a diet nonetheless.

I have never went on any specific diet to lose weight, or whatever.
But then I eat generally healthy.
I just eat what I like.
