I would never sleep with my stuffed animals when I was younger. I would only tear them to shreds with a pair of scissors the moment I got them. Me and my brother would always destroy our toys.
I have a baby sized stuffed white rabbit called Flopsy that my auntie got for me whilst I was in the hospital (after I'd been born), I don't sleep with him anymore but he sits beside my bed on a little table.
I also have a little blanket with a bear on the front sitting in the clouds with the moon and stars, I sleep with that, it's such a nifty pillow, I just screw it up as needed. [x I had that since I was a baby too. It doesn't hold much emotional value that I'm aware of, but normal pillows just don't compare. D;
I had stuffed animals when I was young, but I don't remember their names. I know I had a doll named Ramona, but she wasn't entirely stuffed, so I don't think she counts. I wasn't big on naming my stuffed animals, honestly.
Now, at 19 years of age, I still have a bear that I sleep with, though. I call it Ian Bear, after my boyfriend, which is sort of silly and stupid maybe, but it's nice to sleep with him when I can't with my boyfriend. ^^;
I remember having a huge purple dinosaur plush when I was a kid. When I was roughly 5/6 years old, I remember I was finally the same height as him (Yes, HIM.). xD
That thing was awesome. Had a big round body, smaller arms and legs and a looong neck and tail. I didn't really sleep with him by my side, but I could hardly fall asleep if he wasn't sitting on the foot of my bed.
I used to call him Dino, as he was similar to the dinosaur in the Flintstones. 8D
My first Christmas I got a stuffed teddy bear, I am now eighteen and still have the bear though he no longer has eyes and his neck is being held on by a scarf.

my dad bought it as soon as he heard he was going to be a father :)
since i was a child, i only call him bear bear.....strange yet easy.
some people find it strange that i still have it, but i wont abandon the first gift i received.
its nothing to be ashamed of, at least thats my point of view
I had this little dog puppet that I picked up off the street from my pram XD I named it puppet (I know, so creative!) I had it all through childhood so it's missing an ear and has some paint splatters but I love it dearly and would never let go of it willingly.
I had the same problem whenever I tried seeping with a stuffed toy I would always wake up with it tossed across the room XD
