View topic - Dating outside your race/a select race
Personally i can't. My family wouldn't approve. i would be disowned.

I like all races, I've dated both outside and inside my race and have found there is little distinction between them other than their own personalities. I find them all attractive in their own way.
I have always lived in a rural area of Michigan where the majority of the town was white or Native American, so I haven't really had the opportunity to date outside of those races. If I were single, I would have no problem dating someone of another race. Not being attracted to a certain race is racist like being strictly hetero- or homosexual is sexist.
I think for me, its an odd thing. I find black people attractive but we're kind of not compatible and it's simply a physical thing. I have ridiculously tiny out of proportion thin lips (thanks mum) and every black guy I've kissed, bless their hearts has slobbered all over my face just because proportionately we dont work.
I dunno, I find people attractive if they're attractive, I don't really tend to date guys from other races though, and I'm not racist about it I just don't really feel an attraction to many of them, even when I can acknowledge they're hot.
I still think it is kind of similar to different breeds in the animal kingdom- and most people would probably get outraged by that, but its hardly a racist thing to say because if you imagine we were of the cat family, white people (my 'race') would probably be the puny little shorthairs, and black people would be panthers.

Personally, I'll date a person if I like their personality enough, despite their race or even gender. I had a huge crush on a girl all throughout my high school years. I think it was kind of a low blow to tell you he wasn't interested in you because of your race. I know many black men who will date white women- one friend's mother even told him to bring home a sweet caramel baby LOL. But I guess any thing can turn a person off about another race- another friend told me he will date a white woman as long as she's not blonde. He said Scarlett Johansson is the only blonde woman who could ever turn him on XD
I don't think I'd really judge on race but I think race will have an effect on whether I start liking them or not. It's not really being racist, it's more like my preferences for certain facial features, etc. If I already like them then race will have no influence over whether I want to date them or not. Of course, being a Chinese kid, there will be complications with family members disapproving but generally my parents are quite accepting with these things.
