View topic - Contacts vs Glasses?
Is there one of them you prefer more then the other? Why?
Are you able to wear contacts?
If you can't, why can't you?
I prefer contacts because you don't have to take them off every so often to clean the dirt, and whatnot off of them. I also like the fact you can go into a pool, or water and not have to worry about taking them out. Unlike glasses, you have to take them off.
I have to wear glasses, because my one eye has the muscle shortened in it.(My eye would go to the middle of my eye.) If I wear contacts this may happen again. The glasses prevent my eye from doing that, and if it did while I wore contacts there is a chance my eye may go into the middle again.

i wear glasses. i hate having to put contacts in every day. its a total pain in the ass and i can't afford the ones you sleep in at this point in time. i would like to look into them one day but i am used to my glasses. i look strange without them.

Actually, I apparently have better then 20-20 vision according to my eye doctor, which I had no idea that that existed.
I was over a friends of my fathers, and he had a lit cigarette in his hand as he was showing us his new basement redecorating, and he turned around while I was behind him and swung it right into my eye ,_,

It is possible! :) It's also for a person like me to go back to 20-20 for a bit. I did that as well, I went back for about three years then went back to having shitty vision. ^^; But I am sure glad you're ok. :)

I have glasses, and I prefer them personally. I find I look a lot better with them then without them, and contacts dry out, stuff gets stuck on them and under them and they irritate your eyes. Last time I had them I ended up getting a bad eye infection from them so I've been avoiding them ever since. :C
Although I can and like contacts (I tend to wear playful coloured ones too like purple and that), I prefer glasses. I find them easier just to put on and off and there's less paranoia about an eye infection and that.
Also, it makes me look smarter, which is a bonus in the business field. xD

I wear glasses and about 99% of the time I hate them, but I choose them over contacts because I have very unsightly bags under my eyes. It's mostly genetic, and for the one week I went with contacts on, I had people tell me I looked tired every. single. day. People told me I needed to get more sleep, to drink more water- One of my customers, an esthitician, told me it was a sign of vitamin K defeciency and tried to sell me an $80 roll-on gel that supposedly renourishes your eye area. When I wear glasses, no one notices, because the frames cover it fairly neatly, so until I find a way to get rid of these circles I'm sticking with glasses.

I wear contacts and love what they enable me to do. Though considering I do colo guard and dance, they're kind of necessary.
And did you know you're actually not supposed to wear contacts in the pool? Or at least open you eyes underwater. The chlorine can mess them up/irritate them, be careful about that :3
