I'd prefer wearing glasses over contacts. I don't have to wear my glasses 24/7, so I don't really mind them, and the ideas of contacts.. the thought of placing something into your eye terrifies me. No matter how silly it may sound, it truly does. A friend of mine had once told me that her friend's contacts rolled to the back of her head when she accidently fell asleep and she was rushed to the hospital. Even though there was no evidence that such an event had taken place, I'd rather not take any chances.
I have both glasses and contacts, I prefer contacts most the time because you don't gotta take them off and clean them, and it bothers me at times to see the frames of my glasses.
ALTHOUGH; I do hate dry contacts, or when you can feel them in your eyes, mine tend to get really dry, and I end up having to take them out right after school.

I'm 20 and I've been wearing glasses for about a couple years now and it's been hard adapting to them since I spent my whole childhood and teen years not wearing glasses. I've wanted to try contacts for so long cause I've always wanted to experience having green eyes and now that I have to wear glasses it makes me wanna try contacts even more but... I can't. The idea of sticking a weird object into my eye isn't appealing to me at all.

It's nice to come across this discussion. I am currently wearing glasses, it's the only experience I have. But the constant cleaning of those things, is driving me crazy. I like glasses overall, but the cleaning. ugh!
So I have been thinking about getting lenses, but somehow I am scared to use them. I don't like something touching my eye, but that's just the idea. And I read I'm not alone with that idea.

I wear both. Glasses most of the time, lenses two to three times a week.
I find them equally comfortable but simply out of vanity I prefer to wear contacts. I prefer how I look sans glasses, though since I got my new glasses I'm happier wearing them than I was. The frames are different, they look cooler.
The idea of touching your eyes isn't pleasant, of course, but it stops bothering you quite quickly, I found. It was a bit of revelation to me that you can touch the white of your eye without it stinging at all. Eyes seem to be more resilient to a bit of poking and prodding than you might expect.

I wear contacts and vastly prefer them to glasses. Not only do they not steam up when entering a room or going outdoors where there is a vast temperature change (cold to hot) but you can see clearly in the rain and you can do all sorts of activity without worrying about your glasses flying off half way through. Also, I don't think that I suit glasses so that's possibly another reason I prefer contacts. ღ
I don't need glasses, but personally I think glasses are attractive xD It's a personal preference to the wearer I guess
I used to highly dislike glasses as a child and thought I looked idiotic but now I really like the nerdy style (fob frame) type. =w=
Contacts are nice and they make my eyes really pretty but my eyes are also uber sensitive so.. :c It takes forever for me to get them in (with help from someone else unless I can't do it)... STUPID EYES!

I have both, but I practically never wear my glasses. At least, not if I plan on going out in public at all on a given day. I hate how I look in them, especially since I have the same awful wire framed ones I've had for the past five or six years. >.>
Contacts are really kind of inconvenient for me, though. My vision is so awful that I could probably actually be considered legally blind, and my contacts always manage to get so blurry by the end of the day that it's practically like not having them in at all. I just hate my glasses so much that I choose to go around half-blind anyway. xD

I wear glasses and I personally like them alot better than contacts!
I was recently told I need glasses, I haven't got them yet because I have to have another test before I get my prescription.
I have an eye problem which I inherited off my dad, and he has to wear glasses full-time. It just deteriorates your vision over time. My dad is short sighted because of it, and so am I.
I just made it worse because I'm on the computer all the time, and my eyes rely on things to be close to my face in order for them to focus. They don't focus on computer screens that well any more either, especially if there like a foot away. Eep.
All three of my closest friends have to wear glasses, but only one of them has his on full-time.
I'm a bit stuck on whether to get glasses or contacts, because obviously I've never worn glasses. I don't know if I'd suit them.
I don't have a problem with touching my eyes, but it'd be a pain to take contacts in and out so often.
Generally I like glasses, I think they're nice if they suit the person. I think they're probably better than contacts.
I would even go as far to say, I think they're quite attractive.
