Amphibians are frogs salamanders and caecilians (which are found in tropics only) - they have smooth, scaleless skin - an amphibian can dry up an die in a few hour if it does not have access to water.
A turtle can be consider an amphibian but it's not, the turtle is in fact a reptile.
