August User Item Contest Entries
August theme: Tropical
The theme this month is Tropical.
Your entry will be judged on the creativity not the realization.
Reminder of the rules:
- No Art theft.
- All of the entries have to be your original work. No photo, photomanipulation or rip off existing items. No items from anime either as they are not your work and are copyrighted.
- You are allowed up to three entries (one item per entry). It can be all in the same post, or in three different posts.
It is an item contest, not an outfit contest. It means one item is equal to one entry.
- No pm. All of the entries have to be posted in this thread.
- Your entries must be posted no later than midnight EST on the last day of the month.
- The entries become property of Ernya, and you authorize Ernya to use any of your designs at its own discretion at any time. If you do not agree, do not post any entries and do not participate to this contest.
- Follow the Rules and ToS.
Entries won't be accepted anymore and the thread will be locked on the 31st of August at 9pm PST.

Tropical Hibiscus Ballgown:
Ballgown made with the petals of the tropical flower, the hibiscus with full flowers along the neckline and flared sleeves and stamen ribbon/ties.
(( Hair and Hibiscus pin not included. ))
(( I do wonder how much pixeling would be needed to create this in forty-something colors....))

EDIT Number TWO!!
Tropical Fish Sundress
Sundress with the design of an angel fish on the bodice and multiple sheer, flowy fin-like material make up the full, fluffy skirt. The long thin dorsal fin is included. It sticks up from behind the neck. White, black and red and blue accents stays, but the yellow should be the color user can change.

Palm Wrap Dress
Wrap Dress with the pattern and texture of two intertwined palm leaves with a long sleeve on one arm.
(( Hair, drink and shoes not included. ))

I would assume that, if it's in the tropics, it counts. (you can google "tropics" and get numerous maps on which regions are tropical, which you can cross reference with an entry's origin)
Volcanoes, tropic-dwelling whales (dolphins for example), tropic-dwelling penguins, and tropical foods, flora, culture, and fashions, and so on and so forth. Google is your friend, too. So when in doubt... < <;

This was actually really fun, since I'm Samoan. :3 It's a traditional blanket called an e lava lava, and these are two actual ways to wear it; of course, the second one is only for women.
