Tialia is a very logic-oriented person; she tends to listen to her head rather than her heart and weighs her options based on practicality and efficiency--instead of how it will affect other people. She has good intentions, but doesn't realize that her actions might have a negative effect on the people involved. It honestly confuses her when people are angry with her--especially if everything went according to her plan. Tialia has a difficult time letting go and giving into her emotions. Subconsciously, she sees it as a weakness that she must not have. In addition, she is uncomfortable with physical contact and avoids it whenever she can.
The driving force behind Tialia's actions is her aversion to boredom. She's been around for a long time, and she finds the ordinary dull and extremely tedious. She likes to be where things are happening and takes assignments based on how interesting she thinks that particular mission will be. One would think that she would abandon an assignment if it proved to be boring, but Tialia understands the importance of commitment, and will always see something through to the end.
Tialia is no hero, and she knows this. She may be one of the Templars, she may follow their codes and customs, and she may help someone if she sees that they need it; but Tialia is careful to make it clear that she's only doing this for the fun of it. It's a good thing she takes such massive enjoyment in what she does, because if being a Templar ever proved to be boring, she would leave just like that.
She isn't a sympathetic person, though she tries to be for the sake of keeping up appearances as one of the Altair Templars. Tialia also frequently assumes everyone around her to be less intelligent and observant. This has given her something of an arrogant disposition; it's very hard for her to say things like 'I don't know'. She is capable of some empathy, however, and giving an apology is not something she finds difficult to do.

The first thirty-odd years of Tialia's life are something of a blur. She remembers growing up in the Dragon city, learning how to master her element (Light), and learning how to shift between her human, humanoid and beast forms. She only sort of recalls her parents and her friends; not through any sort of mental trauma, but through her ignoring her own memories until they faded. She deemed such things unnecessary for an interesting life, and now only recalls her family and childhood friends in passing.
Just before her 40th birthday, Tialia left the Dragon city and made her way to Alioth to enter the Knight Academy. There was fighting all over Tolem, and she wanted to be a part of the history that was being made--to add her own name to the ones who would be remembered in the ages to come. Becoming a knight, or one of the Altair Templars, seemed like the best way to achieve that goal.
It took her six years to complete her pagehood, simply because she was having too much fun and didn't want to leave. After her pagehood, Tialia thought about it, and decided to make her way to Phact to try and become a paladin's squire. Simply being a knight wasn't enough, she wanted to learn how to wield holy magic as well.
It took her a few tries to find a paladin who would take her on as a squire, but when she finally did, Tialia threw herself wholeheartedly into her training. She excelled at using Light magic, thanks to her elemental affinity, and paid very close attention to the lessons she and the other squires were taught in class. It took her much longer to master swordplay, however, since Tialia was often more inclined to use her teeth and claws in place of a blade. It wasn't until the end of her first year of training that she finally got the hang of it and began to really improve.
Over the following year she was taught how to combine her elemental magic with her swordsmanship, as well as how to craft and care for an enchanted weapon. She thoroughly enjoyed learning how to craft items, and by the time she started her third year of training, Tialia couldn't wait to get started on crafting her own sword and shield. She took the full five years to craft it, spending most of the last two making sure it was abolutely perfect in every way, so that it would pass the standard thereby earning her the title of 'Official Paladin of the Templars'.
It has been several decades since she earned her paladin title, and Tialia is still as engaged in the Altair Templars as she was in the beginning. During the first few years, because of her young appearance, people had a hard time believing that she was actually a fully-fledged paladin, and she is quite fond of telling those stories to her companions--though they have all been slightly embellished for comic effect.
Tialia has been haunted by bizarre dreams for as long as she can remember. Dreams of an alien world, the likes of which she'd never seen anywhere in Tolem, and of a person who was familiar and yet a stranger. Tialia has never breathed a word of these dreams to anyone.

Almost forgot to mention: Tialia's beast form is that of a white dragon.
In her humanoid form, Tialia gains white wings, a long white tail and white horns. All of her clothing and armor has had slits cut into it to accomodate her wings and tail.
