"No," Meilynn said sternly. "I am taking you with me. Nobody is here to stop us. We are stronger as a group, and will attack as such." Meilynn looked back as if expecting somebody to jump out at catch her talking to Knight.
"Look," Knight started, trying not to panic. "I know Rhye. I know his weakness. I want to try to exploit them in order to bring him down. The only way I can do that is from inside. You have to trust me." Knight was grasping for an excuse now. He had to get Meilynn to believe him. He couldn't outright attack her, nor could he call for help. He didn't even want to hurt her, but she was very stubborn when she wanted to be. "Please," he said softly, trying to get her to go. He had a feeling if she stayed any longer Ash would hear and call for Hideki. That was the last thing Knight wanted.
terria hesitated. she didn't want to give it away completely that it was the ex captive that had wandered into the camp but he should know that she was there. "um M'lord, we have some company. a woman has wandered into our camp and we have given her some food and a seat by the fire, I just thought you should know"
That was enough to get Haishin to fully wake up. He grabbed his sword that was laying by his side and sat up. "Who is it? What does she want?" Haishin didn't like the fact somebody 'stumbled upon' their campsite. They had picked this spot off the main path so they could stay hidden. Haishin didn't wait for an answer since he was too concired with leaving Kim alone with some stranger. When he stepped out of the tent he frowned. Wasn't that the woman Hideki had trusted him to look after? The one who claimed to accidently stumble across the DR camp? With a sigh he put away his sword. The woman wasn't any danger to any of them. In fact, the only reason she had been captured was because Rhye or Hideki demanded she be questioned on why she was so close to the camp. "That woman has stupid luck."
Meilynn pulled back slightly. "What do I tell Alexial, and the others? That woman is worried sick about you." Maybe if she got Alexial involved Knight would change his mind and come back with her. If not, well there wasn't much she could do. She didn't want to chance a fight against the two vampires and Rhye.
Knight almost jumped up at the mention of Alexial. She meant the world to him, but...he couldn't react. He felt panic pressing up against his mind, and Knight squeezed his eyes shut. "I can't." he whispered. His head hurt suddenly and he gripped it with his fingers. "Meilynn..." he mumbled, almost choking on his tongue. Why was Rhye suddenly coming to mind? He trusted...no. He didn't trust Rhye. That man had done something to him, but he couldn't remember what. Everything was too foggy. He remembered feeling at peace for awhile, but now that Meilynn was here he was panicking. "Help." Knight muttered, trying to force the panic down.
Ivory was surved up some food and she ate it willingly. She hadn't had such a filling supper in a long time. She was really glad that woman was being kind to her, instead of shackling her up and taking her back to those mean men at that camp. She kept to herself, not wanting to cause trouble, but she wanted to ask these people about what was going on. She remembered the vampire woman and the man who she followed around, but not these to people sitting next to her. And she was pretty sure that Haishin fellow had left her to go off on some mission with a couple other men. Where were they? Well, it didn't matter. She should just be happy that she wasn't being taken back.
Hideki was starting to get pissed off. He knew somebody was out there toying with him. If only he could figure out how the hell this person kept on fading in and out of his view. "Rhye!" He hollered hoping to get the man's attention. "We have an unwanted guest."
Ash wanted to rush out and help her brother. She was so focused on what was going on outside she didn't even realize there was an intruder in her own tent. Not until she turned around to check on Knight did she see a woman through a slit in the back of the tent. "What is going on!" She rushed over to Knight and yanked him back, then pulled out her knife and went after the other woman.
Haishin exited the tent and sure enough there was Ivory. He sighed, shaking his head. What the hell was he supposed to do with her? They were going back to the DR camp and that would be the last place she would want to be. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked.
Ivory tensed up at the sound of the man's voice and almost dropped her bowl of stew in fright. She slowly turned to look over at him. Maybe this was a trap after all? That vampire woman lured her in, acting nicely, just to be captured after all. Were these other two people also prisoners> Slaves? "I stumbled across this camp. I saw fire, and smelled food. Had I known this camped belonged to you I would have avoided it," she said with her chin held high feigning bravery and confidence.
Haishin rolled his eyes. "Yet, Terria invited you and you accepted. Surely, you would have remembered her and knew whose camp you really were at," Haishin spoke. He didn't know what he was going to do with this woman, but she needed to show a bit of fear towards him. She couldn't be so confident in front of him. He didn't show her any sort of mistreatment before, and so perhaps she thought she was safe.
"Or perhaps I'm just confident enough in my own skills and abilities," Ivory spoke as she put down her bowl. That was a stupid lie, she couldn't have even escaped the first time. She just hated the fact that this man was trying to intimidate her. It was true that he was, but she would not show it.
Haishin laughed; haughty and harsh. "You're a fool to think that. Any one of these people could have your throat split open before you could blink." Haishin sat down next to Kim and served himself some of the stew that Chris had made. "I must assume you are incompetent, or stupid to come here. Bravery doesn't seem your thing."
Chris shrunk back down. He didn't like that he was being grouped in with one of those people who could kill her. Never would he try and do that. It made him wonder how viscous Haishin truly was. Would he kill somebody just to prove himself? If so, how could Kim stand him?
"I am not stupid, and I am not weak!" she lashed back. She hated being called weak. Her father had abandoned her because of it. How dare he try to tell her what she was. he didn't know her! She felt the urge to reach out and strike him. She knew she was weaker than him and she didn't want to prove Haishin's point of her being stuipd, so she didn't. She sat their silently fuming and regretting her choice of staying at this camp. She would leave, but it seemed all his talk was mostly just that.
Haishin smirked. At least this woman had some spirit to her. "So what are you going to do if I decided to take you back to the DR camp?" He didn't plan on taking her. In fact once they were on the move he was going to have her leave. She couldn't get in their way. He had to kill Rhye and take Knight back.
Ivory tensed. This was not what she wanted, but should have obviously knew would happen. Shouldn't have trusted that kind Vampire woman. Next time she won't take that chance. "You'll most likely be rewarded for my recapture. I can tell that would be something you want. Prase from your superiors, corret? Well, I can't allow that. I'll find a way to escape again. I did it once, and I can do it again."
